Huh, yeah this is definitely based more on Maximum, the Angel Arm looks closer to the Manga than in the Anime (larger lower section with a very thin upper section, while in the Anime the two sections are roughly equal size.)

@ReijiThePhantom Actually we did, Trigun max is really just Trigun. We got the anime. There were differences between the manga and the show but they were essentially the same thing. Trigun Max just continues the story from the original 2 Trigun volumes, the magazine they were being published in got canceled before it could be finished, so he created Max and used it to finish off the rest of Trigun.

It would have to be a reboot/remake rather than a sequel. Like Hellsing Ultimate or FMA Brotherhood.

But anyways, yes, check the manga out. It's more than worth it. Completely fills you in a lot better on the story and almost all the characters have their personalities fleshed out better. And thought slightly confusing the first time you go through them, the action sequences are 10x more insane. Seeing any of those manga fights animated alone would be a dream come true

@SQUILLA898 the smoothness of the animation has nothing to do with the filter or the codec or anything you can alterate easely like that... drawing more frames and re animating the whole sequences is the only way (they actually did that in the new evangelion saga) to get what you want, but if you pay attention youll see that there are moments in the show when the animation is really high on quality (not all the time of course, good animation is very expensive)
