  • I am pleased that one of my comments made it to the top comment 3 years ago; along with that of timeformetosoar. I think we both earned it this time. For timeforme, I think he is NT, but plans to grow up and do wonderful things for children with an ASD. I would also like to hear in an update how Claudia is coming along. I am challenged with Asperger's, which is a mild form of autism.

  • @igrenade Why make fun of children with this disorder? There are so many talented and smart children with Autism. @StormTheGuitarist is Autistic and he is a wonderful guitar player/singer! There is 'nothing retarded' about autistic children. I don't care what you say of religion anymore you lost it when you made fun of Autism! And you will pay for it too! That's not a threat, it's a promise i 'won't' break!!! Learn to have a heart and quit trying to tick people off on every video you see!!!!!!!!

  • awwww cute baby

  • What a beautiful little girl!! I have a 6 year old son that was diagnosed with Autism about a year ago. He is verbal, but is unable to have a conversation. He is currently in speech therapy, occupational therapy, and therapeutic horse riding lessons. All of these things have helped. It is a daily battle, but worth every moment.

  • How is little Claudia doing? Thanks to your vid, I was very proactive when my son at 3 years old did not seem to be progressing at the same rate as his classmates at preschool. He did not speak much, so we got him speech therapy ASAP! DID NOT WAIT FOR A DIAGNOSIS and 6 months later he speaks very well. When he now has a shadow in daycare to help with social skills, and is almost indistinguisable from others. Your vid made me get on the ball FAST! I did not wait. He is diagnosed w/ PDD-Nos.

  • My daughter who is on the autism spectrum and is verbal, but lacks a great deal of understanding of language, told me that we are the one puzzle she can't solve. (she is a puzzle genius of sorts. :0) )

  • God Bless Claudia...she will soar

  • I am pleased to find one of my comments made it to the top comment. I would like a personal contact from parents. I have wondered how she is progressing. I have Asperger's, mild autism.

  • This Video touched my heart ! My son who is 4 is also autistic - may you find strength and angels guide you as she grows older my blessings to you all Bonita

  • Such an adorable little girl. I hope that she is able to see this video when she is older and say, "See. I am a special person and I am loved." As someone with a higher functioning form of autism and being in the Army, I want to write a book about my experiences and speak to people about it. I want to show society that just because they label someone as autistic doesn't mean that they can't function in society. She is lucky to have such a loving family.

  • Thanks for sharing ...my two sons are not a lost cause either. Love the video... love the awareness you are spreading. Before I knew what autism was all about I had often said, "He is our puzzle child."

The puzzle logo to represent autism is very descriptive. We are at a lost on how to reach our kids. We know that there is a person that so much wants the key to get out. My kids are not a lost cause...they deserve all the opportunities we can offer to them.

    Insurance companies step UP!

  • its the vaccines

  • @fuckthaworld323 Vaccines could have caused it; but for time being we'll assume it did not cause it. I have an ASD, Aspergers, mild autism. I don't blame vaccines for my condition.

  • this made me cry... this is iike my brother mathews story.. when he was little he would say good morning to my mama all the time.. then one day he didnt say anything.. we found out he had autism. same with my little sister. i have aspergers.. this is a inspirational video. thank you so much for making this.

  • so beautiful and so very touching. we struglle some days with autism but we are encouraged by seeing hope and joy in such beautiful encouaging stories and videos.

    thank you.

our son is 11 years old and is asperger's and he is our pride and joy!

thank you for such a beautiful video!

  • Wow! I work with mentally challenged people with autism, they are not a lost cause!

So why should normal people with autism not be worth a little guidence?

All the best for you, your daughter and don't take no for an answer. There are so many things you can do!

    Good luck!

  • Your video touched me profoundly and Claudia is beautiful!

God Bless Claudia, Madison, Andrew, Ben, Danny & Parker.

  • I have a high functioning form of autism (Aspergers) this is a buetyful video! Have you checked out the son-rise program? I hear ALOT of great things about it!

  • Piper, I too have Aspergers. Yes, this is a beautiful video, and there are many wonderful comments, including yours. I am also a folk musician/singer/songwriter; wrote 3 autism awareness songs. As my title "healthmusic" implies I wrote songs in concern over USA healthcare crisis and need for affordable healthcare.

  • If you wonder what you can do? Give as much support as you can to a family with an autistic child. Today, an intact and loving family is the exception for adults with severe autism and other similar disabilities. Claudia is amazingly fortunate to have the parents she does.

  • Mom and daughter are beautiful! This video really touched me. My 22 month old son does not talk and is of course at high risk for autism. Thanks for the lovely video!

  • ty for this moving video

i like how you end it with motivation to those who watch it to listen

  • She is a BEAUTIFUL little girl! God bless you and your family! <3

  • Autism is everyone's problem...

    Our future is our children...

On my block alone there are three families with children that have Autism.

  • Beautifully done video. I am a Nursing Student and am working with Autistic children and you are quite right I can see the difference that early interventions have on these children. Claudia is one lucky girl to have a parent like you who is going to fight to make sure everything is done to help her.

  • I love that video. Claudia is not a lost cause. She is a precious little girl, made in God's image. I would also like to speak a good word for timeformetosoar. I cheer him on that he will grow up and do wonderful things for people with autism. This autie wants to make the world a better place for us auties.

Bear Hugs John "Hai" Knapp You can find song caught on youtube by searching 'Hai Knapp'.

  • really amazing video and she is very pretty.

    :]

  • this song is called "falling slowly"

  • Claudia is a beautiful little girl you were blessed

  • That was a great and touching video! I have recently begun volunteering with autistic children and teenagers and they have changed my life. God Bless your precious Claudia.

P.S.: May I ask what is this song called?

  • keeperofthestars, I too love this video. Claudia is very precious. I have Aspergers, which is part of autistic spectrum. I am also a singer/songwriter, and now trying to reach out to people in the spectrum with my music.

  • I am 11 years old and ever since first grade iI have been working with children who have been diagnosed with autism. I am going to change he world...and find a cure for autism today or tommorow.

  • I would like to offer my hand to you. I am 54, not much time to go back to college and study. You are 11, you can change the world. In many ways I am cheering you on; few years from now go for doctor degree. Let's find a cure for autism.

  • @timeformetosoar It is heartwarming to hear you have been working with sutistic kids since 1st grade. Keep up the good work! :-)

  • I have watched again the video of Claudia. I would like to offer that I would fight along with you for Claudia. I've said, "Affordable Healthcare is a RIGHT!" Your daughter too has the right to the therapies she needs. Wouldn't have minded the opportunity to meet. Claudia is NOT a lost cause; she is a very precious little girl. Handicapped? Aren't we all in some way? I'm an aspie, which is a member of the Autistic Spectrum Disorders.

My love and blessings to the parents and your daughter. Hai

  • Claudia and Parents; beautiful video. I have asperger syndrome, mild form of autism. I am also a musician/singer/songwriter, activist for affordable healthcare. Now also branching autism awareness in music. Besides having an ASD I see vivid example of how Healthcare system (in USA) is failing. Insurance often won't cover needed therapies of autistic child. Very important they can get therapies in timely way. No, Claudia is not a lost cause. This video added more to heat my activism.

  • Touchie..

  • This was absolutely beautiful. It made me cry. Claudia is lucky to have such loving parents.

  • Beautiful!
