  • To finish up my thought, here in Seattle is it perfectly legal for cyclists to be riding on the sidewalks because it all boils down to personal safety. Its even legal for cyclists to ride on the shoulder. Its sad that some cities refuse to see things with more open eyes when it comes down to personal safety. When I travel to work or to the gym, that route is the only route where I feel the most unsafe riding in a car lane so I use the sidewalks there.

  • I am very lucky to live in Seattle, WA where they understand that peoples safety is first priority. I'm an avid cyclist as well and just recently got hit by a car coming off a sidewalk crossing an unmarked intersection. So I know that even riding on a sidewalk is not going to guarantee that your 100% safe. How ever the route that I was heading down is known for its complete lawlessness by car drivers and has a high percent of accidents. So I have no choice but to be riding on the sidewalk.

  • I wish I could ride a bike :( but Im a fish oOooOOOoOoOOOOO #bubbles!
