@Kikosch100 he is not the best in the world, but he's pretty good and hes trying to get better, so atleast he is asking for feedback because your probably shit
im not a pro but i think you're going a little bit too far to the left of your ball, and you should try to go more under your ball, try to go a little lower with your body, if im wrong feel free to correct me
Unless you are extremely powerful like Hayden shaw for example you need to drag the ball on your stick for longer and let it roll up and then down giving you a sling shot action, thats the idea of a drag flick, pretty much just doing a penalty flick with a drag, to get more power drag for longer and let it role up your stick and then fling off the bottom.
Not bad . . . remember that most goalies are stronger with their hands than their feet. So even though going high looks good and is glory . . . sometimes going hard and low is more effective! Also . . . try another stick, sometimes changing the tool you use can be an advantage for you.
Your lobbing the ball when you flick. try to get under it a little more, and follow through with your action, not flick then stop. if you get my drift?
try and get lower to the ground on the motoin through the ball, and tyr and use your shoulders more in the motion, it'll give you extra power on the flick. good work though buddy. where do you play?
The flicks loop rather than driven which also contribute to lack of power, and also stop aiming for top corner ALL the time, keepers prefer top corner to bottom as do defenders so have your flicks driven and keep them low at times but vary them
Firstly a dragflick is about impulse, the more time the ball spends on the stick the more impulse = more speed. So the idea is to collect the ball have it run up the stick, and then sling the ball off the stick.
Secondly, your bottom hand is too far down the stick, it needs to be closer to the top hand, which creates a greater lever, which once again will create more speed!
you want to aim for right just above back board height that way it is hard for a keeper to save due to it being on HIS weak side and hard for him to get his stick to
irisnutter is right, when you approach plant your left foot next to the ball and pick up the ball from there, then side step crossing your feet for extra power then drag the ball all the way from behind your right foot up to your left. the longer the ball is on your stick the more power you will get.
Look at the John Tsirimokos video for a perfect example
what about Santi Freixa? Hayden Shaw? Troy Elder? Christopher Zeller? Luke Doerner? And whilst Ashley Jackson's technique is different it definitely works; hence the Euro Hockey Nations.
you need to get a lot lower.. you want your stick to be near parallel with the groud to allow to ball to roll up the stick, which in turn will give you more power when you release it..
My only criticism is the length and duration of your run up. Unless the person injecting the ball sends it like a rocket a fast defender may well be on you before you can get a flick away. I used to have that issue.
your left foot needs to be closer to the ball and horizontal not vertical. you also need to use your whole body to drag the ball not just your arms, your body has to move in one fluent movement. (my english isnt very good :p)
only thing i don't like about that is the ball's dipping before they get there....maybe get your stick on the ball sooner for a longer flick for more power?? try it out i could be wrong :) good luck this season!

As an elite hockey coach, 2 points:
Firstly a dragflick is about impulse, the more time the ball spends on the stick the more impulse = more speed. So the idea is to collect the ball have it run up the stick, and then sling the ball off the stick.
Secondly, your bottom hand is too far down the stick, it needs to be closer to the top hand, which creates a greater lever, which once again will create more speed!

is it bad when i don't hear the tik when i release the ball?
how do i give the ball more power
thanks gerard.
sorry my english isn't too good

@2001atlas10
About the second point: the higher the bottom hand, the more speed. No doubt there. But doesn't it come at the expense of control?
fdemey 1 year ago
you crossover far to early causing you to loose a great deal of control on the ball,
it looks more like you are trying to throw the ball at goal and skip the drag flick part.

Dude seriously buy more balls working with one ball just sucks. You can save more time.

this arent real gragflicks they are just normal flicks until about halfway through the video
buzzed1029384756 1 year ago
Try to hold the ball on your stick. now you aredragflicking with the top of your stick. so that seems like a normal push.
pretty good flicks!

You need to aim for bottom right. Also drag the ball furthur. You can pick the ball up furthur behind your foot, but still not a bad flick

m8 u need to work on your flow and consistency each one was different
8895bob 2 years ago
plus, when practicing, aim for bottom corners more, low to the right, keeper's hate that.

only dutch people can do it :P
THIS IS A PUSH.

push and dragflick are completely different, push is ALONG the floor and without the aquirred technique (footwork etc).

yeah,
but this is'nt a dragflick, it's more like a scoop ore something (i don't know if you call that a scoop in english :P)
