This is great! the first time I went to SeaWorld Orlando was in 2000 so this is nearly 10 years earlier! I'm so glad theres footage of Katerina, shes very hard to come across, thank you for posting this!:)

Hi, Thanks so much for the comments and for clarifying who they all are. Even though they appear the same I'm sure they have their own markings which distinguishes them.

I thought it was Kalina as its refered to as 'Baby Shamu'. Does this mean its used as a stage name to describe a new addition but was first used with Kalina? In the same way that there have been many Shamus since the original Shamu?

@JamieFDalton shamu, namu, and baby shamu are all stage names. they all have their own names. only the original shamu and namu had those names.

it's really not that hard to identify them once you get used to it. it's pretty cool too because then you notice all of the little things about each whale that you hadn't before. when i was younger they all looked similar and i hadn't learned many of there names yet, but now i can identify them and know all of their names

Baby Shamu is a stage name for any small or baby killer whale.

Kalina was not a stage name.
