this is the most enjoyable of all the "first wedding dance" videos. It is obvious the couple enjoy the dancing and it wasn't just for show or to get laughs at the reception. All the rest are almost identical - This one is very original and has class!!

Aww, I can tell you guys worked hard to practice that! Some brides (here in NY)throw tons of money into tiara's and smoke machine's etc.. but you guys worked hard together as a couple to pull that off. This video is a perfect example of a great couple working together as one. That's what it's all about!!!!! Oh - and Welencier05's comment was uncalled for. There was nothing wrong with ballet flats. Heck - I probably wouldn't have even bothered to find white ones for a wedding dance. It is possible to do in heels, but who actually likes to lindy in them? Your day, do what you like.

There is nothing wrong with my footwear. And if welencier05 knew anything at all about Lindy Hop, he would know that no one does it in heels.

Mariana had broken her toe a week before this performance, I was just happy that she could dance.

In regard to perfecting the performance, Mariana and I are primarily social dancers, not performers. This performance was just to give our family an idea of what we do.

We met through swing dancing in 2001. Usually, with swing dancing, you don't really dance with a regular partner all the time (you go to an event and dance with whoever's there). So we had been dancing together for about 5 years, but not necessarily as regular dance partners. We decided to surprise our guests with this dance, which we choreographed and practiced for about 2 months. It was fun!
