  • great song by an already legend --- thanks for sharing

  • Beautiful and can sing the lights out-killer combination. I had the biggest cruch on her in high school and I still do,haha.

  • WoooW!!!

  • She sound's little like . but she has a good voice and I like all her music ..

  • This just makes me want to lay on the bed and cry all day.

  • Patty's studio version hit #10 in Billboard, 5-7-88. Her very 1st top 10. God bless you, sister Patty!

  • She owns this.

  • I'm sorry, but this is her song.......only hers. Wow

  • Patty grew up in Eastern Kentucky where all the other great country stars grew up... Loretta Lynn, Dwight Yoakum, Ricky Skaggs, The Judds, Keith Whitley, Tom T. Hall Billy Ray Cyrus to name a few!

  • @hoffa437 She spent most of her youth years in Louisville. She is more Louisville than anything else.

  • oh what a sweetheart , iam your man you sweet angel, my heart has a window for you

  • This is what country music should be. She's a great singer and not bad looking either!

  • I get chills listening to this woman's voice, she has such a mesmerizing voice. Love Patty Loveless ^_^

  • Best female singer ever.

  • Patty Loveless does an incredible job on this great old song. I also enjoy George Jones' version just as much.

  • This great classic made gold by George Jones is one of the prettiest songs ever written. I think Patty must have recorded this sometime around 1987 or so. I had never heard of her till this song came out by her. Thanks CountryGuys1 for posting. - Paula

  • this great country song is from the golden pen of master country songwriter dallas frazier, he wrote hit songs for george jones connie smith and jack green 'there goes my everything'

  • Thanks Gerry for the name of the writer of this song and many many others that Dallas Frazier wrote. It's amazing to look back and do some research on the truly great country classics and see it's a Who's Who in Country Music Song Writers who have penned them. They would be too numerous to mention but just a few of the song writing royalty who come to mind are Harlan Howard, Felice and Boudleaux (sp?) Bryant, Fred Rose, Hank Williams and Willie Nelson. Thank goodness for them. - Paula

  • look out for a new great songwriter called billy yates who wrote 'choices' and ' i don't need your rockin' chair' for george jones, george recorded six of his songs

  • This is the song that made me a big fan of PATTY LOVELESS, " IF MY HEART HAD WINDOWS". I just love this song so much. PATTY could sing the news-paper and it would still be great !!

  • What a lovely song. It shows the sweet emotion that's so abundant in country music. And yet some rock n' roll city slickers can't get past the fact that it has a slow tempo.

  • she is simply beautiful.

  • So beautiful. I have always adored this song. Thank you for posting it.

  • One of the all-time country hotties.

  • She is so adorable...*SIGH*

  • This song speaks to me in volumes,so romantic! Thanks for this post!

  • and from that magic pen of master songwriter dallas frazier
