Collingwood had everything fall into place both 2002 and 2003 finals. The weather in '02 completely took the skill out of the game. The differences were the captains, one wanted it and other did not, the fact that Buckley got the medal was hilarious. He picked up like 50 possessions across halfback...wow.

Damn Brisbane was a good side 2001-2004. I was at this game (supporting the 'Pies). I didn't expect us to win and was glad to be at the game. I thought we would win it in 2003 and was absolutely gutted by our 'gutless' performance. Two greats sides of that era - the one that's missing was Port, which eventually won in 2004.

This was a game that Collingwood was given NO CHANCE in winning, and I reckon it's one of their bravest, gutsiest and best performances of the past 10 years considering they were up against such a good team in the Lions.

The Pies did Mick proud. And he was proud. He was gutted, but he knows how much effort his team put in. No Pie supporter could begrudge their team's performance or effort that day.
