i just bought one of these a couple months ago and it deffinitly has no top end at all. the bottom and mid are great but it revs out way fast and needs to be short shifted like crazy. it deffinitly needs an exhaust

I got my 09 at the the end of Aug of 09 and WOW this bike is awesome!! Put a stiffer rear spring and a slipon yoshi RS4 and refashed the computer and its like night and day!! Would recommend to anyone! Note went from an 09 crf450 to my rmz450. Had too many problems with the crf and cost too much to make it run and handle as good as the rmz!!

The Suzuki is virtually unchanged from last year due to the factory messing up one casting. They had no R and D, and Suzuki has always fell short of reliability and build quality. The bikes were even made by Kawasaki a few years back, if that tells you anything. But most of you are pro's and need the fastest motor. Get eduacated,and stop liking what bike magazines all like.

Whether Suzuki had messed up the casting or not the '09 would still be unchanged. The '08 was completely changed from the '07 and was ahead of its time with EFI that it will only recieve small changes for the next few years, just like Honda wont be launching a radical new CRF450 for 2010, chances are it will be BNG.

Kawasaki never built any RMZ450's, there was however an alliance whereby Kawasaki built a Suzuki designed RMZ250. The bike was a great design but so badly put together it is famous for its poor reliability. Don't down on the Suzuki reliabilty because of teething problems on a new model - do you not remember when the CRF 450 first came out - and that was Honda!
