@Blockhead442 A TR-3650 or T45 Mustang will have 2.00 or 1.99 2nd gear ratios. With them ratios, 3,000 RPM, stock gears, stock height tires, it'll be doing 35 MPH. A T56 swapped GT with 3.27s, 3K RPM, stock height tires, will be doing 39 MPH in 2nd.

It's real man. The only part that looks slightly strange to me is why it's not breaking 140 MPH by 6K RPM in 4th. Probably just has slightly taller than stock tires, without being 100% calibrated. 285/35/18, 4th, 6K RPM, 3.27s = 141. 305s = 144.

Actual WHP is 556, thats WHEEL horsepower, we raced it a while back to a V10 M5 and the mustang pulled at least 5-7 car lengths. Mustang on Nitto 555r Drag radial, M5 on regular street tires using launch control. Really kick ass race

It sounds like a turbo charger but then again I've only driven and been in supercharged mustangs. Something doesn't look right with the odometer. Why isnt the mileage going up. It wouldnt move by much but it should go up. I think its like the earlier post, when they said something about the speedo gear. Its just seems to fishy to me. I had a 91 with a 347 stroker w/vortech and it had 650hp and it didnt sound like that. The whistle on my vortech sounded totally different from that though.

Where is a sense when american V6 V8 cars have up to 140 or 150mph speedo but can reach more actually whilist the european cars have usually 170, 180mph (sports) and 150mph daily car and not even V6s, usually 1.8 or 2.0

It's not a turbo, its procharger. Sounds like D1 to F1 along those lines. The original video had the right information. Procharger = supercharger, looks like a turbo, acts like turbo, just running of the crank instead of the exhaust manifold.

It is a cintrifical supercharger. I have a similar set up. It is a turbo powering a pulley, thus making it a supercharger not a turbo. they also have blow off valves which is causing the confusion.

The b.o.v. is the most noticeable thing. and check how the rpm hit. the its all high end. its why he did a roll start to... nothing against turbos but when it comes to quarter mile drag, i prefer a ported supercharger. a mustang turbo set up much more expensive way more prone to blowing engines. but in the end the turbos give the most horsepower gain... very nice mustang

its a centrifugal super charger, you can hear the whistle in the first few seconds of the video before it switches to the driving portion. it sounds like a turbo because its basically the compressor side of a turbo spun by a belt, instead of a shaft connected to the turbine side of a turbo. thats why these superchargers are better for top end than roots type superchargers, because they have a turbo-like design

You're a moron. Superchargers dont have wastegates, turbos do. Wastegates control the pressure (psi) a turbo makes by letting exhaust out before the turbo once the turbo reaches target psi.

You can actually use a wastegate in a centrifugal type blower, just place it in the path between the blower and the engine. The blower will be pushing all the boost the pulley makes it push, but the wastegate makes the engine receive only the amount of boost the boost controller lets in. Its falirly easy, its just on a different place than a turbo car. And of course its a mod.
