  • xhosa is amasing :D

  • LOOOOOOOOOL

  • what does Ninja and Yolandi speak?!

  • @imacomputer101 They speak mostly english and afrikaans, which is simiar to dutch. It's the language most white folks in SA speak :)

  • @Scythe0fBodom but in evil boy wanga speaks xhosa and so do they a bit

  • @Scythe0fBodom Wow. thanks for the answer. It's weird to me because so much "slang" goes into it. I know "Die Antwoord" is silly and not to be taken seriously, but that's why i like them. But their language sounds so Alien to me. It intrests me more than any other language. jjangsta nomba ien kon = gangsta number one. It sounds so good to my ears, even though it's nonsense.

  • Wonderful, I first heard the Xhosa language as a teenager when i purchased my first Miriam Makeba Album. It was so cool and beautiful, but for me so impossible.

  • man the white dude is doing nothing but making ah ang eng ung uh...

  • knock knock negro :)

  • we lived amongst the khoi-san, hence the clicks.

  • What tha,, so cool, and wired, i guess xD so much i want to explore,. :D no offense to anyone btw

  • dat is amazing!

  • I'm learning mandarin and trying to get the tones right is so difficult to me, after watching this I feel so blessed all I have to learn is the tones lol

All the clicks sounded the same to me, such a fascinating language! :))

  • Soo confusing!

  • it seems fake like the clicking aint even coming out of his mouth :O

  • @masterg253 i didn't realize you were a studied linguist with an ability to differentiate the location of sounds through a video. what a talent you have. educate yourself, seriously.

  • @omgwtfbbqroflsauce i hope u felt smart with that sarcasm as i sed it "seems" fake i didnt say i know the difference, seriously

  • @masterg253 its because we are profesionals

  • I'm currently learning Korean right now...man, sounds so much easier than Chinese and Xhosa. WOW!

  • imagine him beatboxing!

  • Wow thats cool!

  • 発音できませんw

  • Beatboxers' language.

  • Neat. :)

  • Can you say Starvin Marvin?

  • @TheDraindeimo

    hahahahah :XD

  • sounds like he tries to beatbox, but without rythm xD

  • Mr. Sebezela, sorry, just go slower with the clicks there... It sounded like you said "three years"!

  • This guy could pwn Rahzel in a beatboxing contest.

  • just like in Star Wars II on Geonosis... :P

  • silly white boi....

  • born to beatbox man

  • they must be great beatboxers...

  • I feel like I could dance to those clicks lol

  • imagine trying to read people lips in that communty...

  • its stupid how every white person hears a language they dont know or sounds different and the automatically assume its chinese...typical

  • My computer screen is covered with spit.

  • I bet, I got it all wrong - it's so hard to produce a click and a vocal the same time

  • lol

  • Oh man! Those are nice impossoble sounds! HAHAHHAA

  • im also learning zulu and love this language its really beautiful to me. im sorry i don't mean to be mean but the white guys sucks i mean its alright for a first time but im sure if he is in south africa that isn't the first time he heard a click and wanted to try it.

  • @94kwaki Well, even in Xhosa children have to train these consonants - that's what the "click-sonds" are (there are some other languages with nearly click-sounds, like Georgian in the Caucasus) - and the white guy most certainly never had time or opportunity to train them! There are puns and tongue-twisters in Xhosa to make children learn these consonants, like Baxabene Oxamu! The words of this song are nonsense, but the children learn and train the sounds! How could the white guy catch up?

  • Really cool

  • Are you sucking your teeth at me! LOL awesome language my teacher told us about this

  • that is so awesome! and I thought Russian was hard to learn O_o

  • I know what you mean, I say this everyday Brian. YOU just dont hear me ;)))

  • Fuckin babble bru.

Every kaffir here learns to speak English and Afrikaans

  • wtf this is a wierd ass language man.. wtf its true tho what those white dude said, it does sound abit like chinese, and i must admit some bushmen or southafricans do look like chinese physically to also.. which makes sense

  • @CushiticSomalianMale ...what.

  • @CushiticSomalianMale absolutely, physically african so much alike chinese, i.e. they've 1 nose with 2 holes etc etc

  • @beensolongg

indeed, but word of correction, its not all africans..

ONLY south-africans look like chinese(yellowish skin-colour, short like a bunch of midgets and no neck ect) so yeh other africans such as us Somalians of east-africa are totally opposite, we are Tall and darkskinned Africans, with long necks, long arms, and offcourse loong foreskins... :) take it from me, a fullblooded ethnic Somalian from east-africa

  • @beensolongg I know right ? you have to have a nose with 2 holes , 2 legs and 10 fingers to look like the chinese. Because the chinese were the first people on earth LMAO!

  • @cannoir Lmao , tu sais rien !

  • @beensolongg ah oui ?

  • nice try, but it doesn't sound ANYTHING like chinese LMFAO.

  • @Z0MGitsandrea with the "clicking sound" it does sound like some of chinese Dialects

  • The "yes" at 0:47 is a bit unconvincing!

  • @tomomahoney haha!!!

  • THATS SO COOL!!!!

  • this is crazy

  • welcome to africa and get raped for free. :)

  • Is the ability to do that determined by genes or muscle development?

  • This language is so amazing! Great video; it's very helpful for a study I'm doing on languages.

  • cuccog!!! már régóta tudtam, hogy a cuccogás is értelmes valakinek :-)

  • awww beautiful *_*

  • sooo..... is this epic win, or epic fail on my part?

  • HAHAHA soooo goooooooddddd!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @Tomaldinho9 you such a dumb ass!!!!!

  • @Tomaldinho9 you say that when you can't even speak your own.

  • This is sick! Amazing.

  • the town at the beginning looks like district 9

  • district 9 was filmed in south africa

  • that was the whole parody of the movie

  • awesome language. lol

  • I'm trying to learn Zulu, which is sort of like Xhosa with the click sounds, so this video helps a lot with pronunciation.

African languages are fun for linguistic nerds such as myself.

  • i to am trying to learn zulu and yes this helps a lot

  • That's amazing! Absolutely amazing ... could listen to them speaking for ages and keep admiring :]

  • Ooh, sooo good. Gonna send this to my South African friend.

  • call me ignorant but is it humanly possible for someone who wasnt born into these tongue click languages to learn to speak them in complete fluency? i can't imagine it!!

  • @latenaito Actually, it is possible. I taught myself how to say the Xhosa sound "q". C and X, I still have trouble with.

  • people do learn chinese, right? and with trained linguists the accents can be reduced a great deal.. every watched my fair lady? some of it is true :)

  • Fuck the fucking fuckers! And I thought Arabic was freaking hard.

  • how do you sing in this language?

  • look up Miriam Makeba

  • @thetreyjameskiss you should listen myriam makea she sang in Xhosa.there is also a xhosa hip hip ( much more interesting ) IMO

  • ew it's so hard to pronounce Xhosa! i feel like a fool when i try to make that sound :( but it sounds really cool :D

  • This language is so cool. have been to SA 3x and I still can't click but my 11 mounth old can

  • Great video.

    Thank you!

  • Good video. Excellent language. Please continue to post Xhosa videos.

  • PE is such a wonderful place with warm and friendly people. I spent 3 months this year volunteering through Calabash. I miss you, Nelson! Enkosi!

  • o3o my goodness

this guy is so excellent at pronouncing the Xhosa words

that was fast talk too :D

    Very excellent

    love the clicks too XD

  • The townships around PE aren't that bad.

  • sheeez that sound really hard!

  • this is a difficult language to pronounce and I thought German was difficult.........!!!

  • i love this guy, he has a great sense of humour

    i love all of africa

    from an ethiopian brother

  • I love the Bantu languages, they have a sing-song quality to them. :)

  • woah it sounds really difficult 0.0! but that makes me want to learn that language it even more lol =D!

  • For a full translation of the 'q' proverb, search "Xhosa Proverb", go to the first video, and look in the comments. This one was cut off.

  • All these clicks were borrowed from the Khoi San (Bushman) and adopted by the Xhosa people who conquered the former , as they migrated down to South Africa , in ages gone by . The fact that the Xhosa people carry some of the physical features of the Khoi San is evident , though if you would tell them that it would be a great insult since they regard the First People (Khoi San ) with contempt , animals or eaters of dirt . The Tswana are similiar in that respect. Khoi San are nearly extinct .

  • Xhosa is so magical D:

  • briiiiigidooo

  • This is beyond amazing!!!

  • "You are a very excellent student" xD

  • That is a very cool language! I'd like to learn it.

  • 1:12 is HILARIOUSSS. he was like 'THIS dude butchering this!!'

  • wow, hard!

  • Idiot

  • wtf, that's a pathetic, racist comment. i sincerely hope you're not a south african :(

  • k do u even know what being a racist means? u have no idea if this guy hates africans or not but his comment was STEREOTYPING. i'm not saying this kid is rite becuase he's being stupid, but think about what he said before u make a statement.

  • i bet if i hit my computer it probably means something in xhosa XD no offense XD

  • I love this persons. Very funny!

  • Is there a course for xhosa in south africa, I want to learn it. Im in love with the language!

  • cool but slower than my language.. way slower.

  • woa what language do you know?

  • My mother language is Dutch, but i could fully speak Xhosa when iwas 5. Great language.

Kliker die klik klik klikker de klik, (Cocking of an magnum means goodnight Klik klik.)

  • I could probably learn the words to that language, but I'd have to carry some kind of clicker in my hand to make the clicking sound as I said the words. That would make it a lot easier lol.

  • This is SUCH a cool language! Thank you for the video!

  • Wow, that is one hard language to learn, especially with the clicking sounds.

  • that's hard

  • Wow... it really is, isn't it?

I can't get the hang of it!
