Nice music and a great show, I really like it and I am happy to see that this kind of music still exist.
I have a CD with the Swedish group the Peace Bells (Fredsklockorna) and many years ago I could see a great performance by them. Do anyone know if they are still active?
WOW I did handbell ringing at junior school and we did a concert and Clifton Handbell Ringers were there. I held that biggest bell its hard to ring! LOL
that is awesome ! I play handbells myself and the place I am playing at is hard so I'm just wondering how many octives they are each playing and how many pctives all togther?
Hey, we talked about this video on the Handbell Podcast (www.handbellpodcast). We were impressed with the ringing style and the fact that the camera actually got close enough to the ringers to see what their hands were doing. Awesome video!!
This is fantastic! You rarely see this technique! Anyone know where they are from? Do they have a website? Also, what brand of bells? I don't recognize the handles, so I don't think they are Schulmerich, Malmark or White Chapel - are they John Taylor? Thanks for posting!!
The Clifton Handbell Ringers are from Yorkshire, England. They use a style of ringing traditional in Yorkshire called "off the table". They ring 140 Whitechapel handbells. For more info visit www.chbr.co.uk.

That is hard to do! I never done it myself, but I know it is. Heh, I'd like to see them try and play "Flight of The Bumblebee"!

What a display of virtuosity! I've not seen the likes of it since I witnessed another HB choir's performance of Katchiturian's [sp.?] 'Sabre Dance!'

That's great...so many different bells in quick succession; it's almost like a juggling act.
