Bons estudos!
PS. Yo espero ter escribido bien en suyo idioma :-)
I listen to this performance with so much pleasure! I love your articulation and the way you put attention to different voices at different times. Great!!!!
Thank you very much for visiting the video! Yes, I am a piano teacher and I started to study this Ricercar in 2006 and I am still studying too! I never try the Ricercar a 6. Now I am studying the Toccata in E Minor, BWV 914, ( a lot of work too) but in the future I can try the Ricercar a 6. Ah, I will look for this Hans Theodore David's book, thank you for the sugestion!
I love the fugue of the Toccata in E minor.Indeed , a lot of work , particularly the fugue which call for fast tempo and didn't seems to want to end ! I must have listened to it over 2000 times.Glenn Gould in my opinion had a perfect flawless performance on the recording of this work.
No one can get any easy treat on Bach. He made all of us work work work. His music is like mathematics and logic with interlocking and related parts which require deep insight and understanding.
I started to study the Musical Offering in my early teens and I am still working on it at 47 ! Never ending learning from this stupendous work by J S Bach.Hans Theodore David's book Musical Offering History Interpreation and Analysis is one of my favorite.
Great. Are you a piano teacher ? By the look at the fingering the methodology and approach to this Ricercar a 3 from Bach's Musical Offering they seems to me you are.
Did you work on the Ricercar a 6 as well ?
One of my most favorite book is Musical Offering History Inerpretation and Analysis by Hans Theodore David.
I started studying the Musical Offering when I was 12 and I am still studying it at 47.
I wish I could play it.

it boggles the mind to think that this is the piece that Bach supposedly improvised for Frederick the Great based on his theme!

Did you try the Ricercar a 6 as well ?
Very tough piece to perform. I think this is a step before reaching the Art of Fugue.
