People dont realize how unreal this series was... hoops got it down. I mean you had ron harper at the time was a unreal defender. YOu had shotblockers to content with and size in guys like nance and jordan just took it to them and absolutly dominated with finishes that where so hard yet he made look so easy.
i believe this was the last time he woudl wear white shoes in the playoffs. starting next year, every playoffs featured black Jordans and the bulls wearing black shoes as a team
i can't believe the comentators here were so boring! dude, most comentators today's will jump off their seats and screaming when seeing michael jordan plays in this game
Theres nobody on Earth whos even close to this good...Kobe cant even carry this guys jock, and he might actually be the closest in that one on 5 style of play...
Thank you for posting this, hadnt seen gm3 before, at least not since I was around 8 years old, also add that while hes making a plethera of highlightplays, he also always did a good job of letting things comes to him and mixing in plenty of the more fundamentally sound stuff like midrangejmprs and simply hitting the easy gimmes.
I'm selling all my Jordan games. contact me if your intersted. I have over 300 games on DVD and VHS. honestly, you name it I have it. I watched them so many times already it's time to pass them on
well I want to say it was my dream to see MJ play in full lenght games because I was way too young to see MJ in his prime or even in his bulls days. I have all three of his slam dunk contest, all his all star games, all of his big playoff games, and regular season games. it will be easier for you tell me what you want. I paid around $500.00 but will sell them cheap. tell me what you want. please believe me that I have them.
KB fans get so blinded by his long range shots, that they forgot that penetrating 80's and 90's defense driving to the basket presents an equal challenge, being even harder sometimes. this man's game is unparalleled
Shooting long range shots was Bird's game. I can see that all day long. During the era of the Big Men with no flagrants and hand-checking, going inside was so difficult, most scouts looked for shooters to draft. Meanwhile, MJ dominated by driving. There will never be anything close. The most disappointing games were the ones where MJ actually took 3s and hit them because you were deprived of his creativity which was what made him stand out.
@hoopsencyclopedia word dude, it would be so funny if Larry played today because he'd utterly destroy teams on offense. No perimeter D because you can't touch anyone now. Then Larry would just use the pick to shoot midrange jumpers all day. Larry made young Pip look silly back in the day. Imagine what he'd do to defenders now.
that move at 1:19,who is strong enough to get that shot off nowadays, the answers is no one,not to mention the fact that he squeezed through two defenders to get it off, face it jordan could execute shots that men couldn't dream of
PLEASE DON'T READ THIS. You will get kissed on the nearest possible Friday by the love of your life. Tomorrow will be the best day of your life. However, if you don't post this comment to at least 3 videos, you will die within 2 days. Copy and paste this, to be saved
and that move that at 2:22 that was sweet he shifted the ball three times until he found the opening,i love the way he comes off the dribble, its common place nowadays since all the punk two guards do it the exact same way,but before him noone came off the dribble like that he looks sick the way he dips his shoulder and comes hard off the floor like he ready to get busy, but noone gets the pus off the floor the way he does, they may copy the movements but they don't have the same results
MJ didn't really have 0 steals in this game, did he? By math he must have between 4 and 7 steals in games 3 and 4 of this series, so I was just wondering. I'm trying to put together some box scores.
these punks keep saying that athletes are stronger and faster nowadays, all i have to say is jordan, noone compares to his athleticism in the game of basketball
As far as this modern day athleticism argument is concerned, its almost completely irrelevant on the court...Maybe in football it actually would make the difference on the LOS, but Larry Bird is living proof that it never did matter, because he was never the fastest, strongest, or most athletic, and neither was Magic Johnson...
Another guy no one has ever come close to the greatness of, this time at Center, is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Hoops, I check for your new MJ vidz all the time. You are an internet legend! Keep up all the good work, although some videos of past stars like Magic and Bird would be awesome (if you even have videos of them)!!!
As mentioned in the Game 2 video, I think in 88 Jordan became not only the only player past and present to win a MVP and Defensive Player of the Year but also the only one to lead the league in both steal and scoring in regular season. Am I right here?
Certainly the only one to do it first and MJ did the scoring/steals title 3 times. AI in 2001 led in scoring and steals and got the MVP but not the DPOY. AI also got the scoring and steals title in 2002.
Every game from Jordan was a masterpiece. Even later in his career, whether he scored 20 or 40 points in a game, he'd do 3-5 things every game, whether subtle or overt, that would make your jaw drop. Great job Hoops; it's nice to see this game especially, since I don't have it. :P
Haha. Really, I don't even think I need to comment. The last two games were incredible, I haven't seen them for years! Certainly brang back some memories. Props again, Hoops. I've put them on M2.
the hang-jumper at 0:50 was one of the most ridiculous and craziest shots that i've ever seen. WOW. Kudos to your yet another incredible video, hoops!

more defenders fell victim to mj's jab step than any of his circus shots/dunks/fadeaways combined imo

His fadeaway is surely one of the most elegant and picture perfect movements in the history of basketball. And the most efficient.
