You have to realize she's Russian. Ofcourse she's lived in America for many years, but she's just grown up als a Russian girl, so she had to learn English. I assure it's very difficult. She also speaks Russian. Take a look at the video's in Russian.

Quite a long interview! Questions asked about Maria's mom just shows how fascinated they are with her. By the way, UMA THURMAN, whom Maria said resembles her mom is a Hollywood actress. She definitely looks like her, of course, when her mom was younger. Well, Yuri & his wife has produced a beautiful child, not just in looks, but in character as well! The Tennis World is lucky to have Maria Sharapova!!!
