Ok, im about to start playing FFXI again.. and can someone help me..

I wanna make a TaruTaru. but im stuck in this question... Does the race of ur character really take affect on the damage it does.. like if a Golka and a taru had the same armor, same stats, same everything, would the face that the taru is a taru affect the dmg he does? Please help me

Well, keep in mind that there are different sorts of damage. Tarus are better at magic, and Galkas are better at physical damage. Plus, Tarus haven't got a whole lot of HP. So yeah, if you're gonna take a wide variety of job types you might be better off as a Hume.

Of course, you might want a second opinion on this, as I don't actually play the game. I just like reading wikis.
