Government paid health care will be all that is left in about 6 months. When the insurance industry fails, and adds about 16 million unemployed people to the roles, and all those retirement investments relying on the insurance companies will be lost forever. this is a very good idea if you want to rule this country rather than lead it.

Also, I am not a republican, so I can't answer for them, but I believe they did try to do some things to eliminate social security and medicare, which would have reformed insurance too. Health savings accounts and retirement investment programs. I think the democrats, who want government control, voted to suppress these ideas.
