Certifications (birth certificates) are what we all use to prove our place and date of birth. If they are "useless" then no-one can ever know where and when anyone (including ourselves) were born.

I did much genealogical research from 1961 to 1997, and I can testify that about 1988 or so, ANYone could go into county Birth records and search original Birth Cert. signed by the doctor attending or midwife. Now they are ALL "confidential" and they give you a computer scanned print out, and there is NOT all the INFO needed to be certain. the Change was silent and gradual. Few noticed. Listen to the State Rep.

I did some geneological research in North Carolina in the early 80's and you couldn't see or handle the original records, only abstracts. But I notice a change, Not sure when it happened in each OTHER state, but by 1988 clearly the "public" records were NO LONGER "Pulbic", and they should have all been backed up on State Archives microfisches, but some Counties did not get around to it. Point valid. If ONLY special Gov. employees have access, THAT is suspicious.

I think the reason why his college records are sealed is that he attended either under another name such as Barry Soetoro and received funding as a foreign student or when he went to Harvard, that his tuition was paid for by Arabs. Certifications (birth certificates) are what we all use to prove our place and date of birth. If they are "useless" then no-one can ever know where and when anyone (including ourselves) were born.

I did much genealogical research from 1961 to 1997, and I can testify that about 1988 or so, ANYone could go into county Birth records and search original Birth Cert. signed by the doctor attending or midwife. Now they are ALL "confidential" and they give you a computer scanned print out, and there is NOT all the INFO needed to be certain. the Change was silent and gradual. Few noticed. I did some geneological research in North Carolina in the early 80's and you couldn't see or handle the original records, only abstracts. It makes no sense to let anyone go in and handle the original records--disaster waiting to happen.

But I notice a change, Not sure when it happened in each OTHER state, but by 1988 clearly the "public" records were NO LONGER "Pulbic", and they should have all been backed up on State Archives microfisches, but some Counties did not get around to it. Point valid. If ONLY special Gov. employees have access, THAT is suspicious.
