  • could you explain what each of the 6 views is showing?

    I've only used quaternions to represent rotations for 3d graphics and never really understood them.

  • Sure. The middle center view is an animation of time t and x, y, and z, which together make the quaternion (t, x, y, z). On the left and bottome middle are three complex planes, tx, ty, and tz, all sharing the same real, which is time t. The right upper panel is a superposition of all states in the animation. below that is a random sample of the states.
