I agree mattzilla.... that damages the quality of the song...this is the worst remix i heard. it sounds like a timbaland throw away beat with polow screaming all over it...out of all five this is my least favorite. the dallas austin one is pretty awesome out of every cover version of i wanna be where you are...this remix tops them all except the original
i dont like at 2:57 - 3:00 when the guy says "GET MONEY, NEW MONEY" bc that was no where close to the song's message... but otherwise great remix, rip KING OF MUSIC!
This and all the remix from the remix suite are very good, what makes them good is that unlike the rereleased thriller no one tried to reinvent the songs but rather update there quality and adjust their beats, in the relreleased thriller you find it was quite horrible because those who worked on it tried to completley change greatness this is just readjusting and its pretty good
you took the words out of my mouth! lol. i am a HUGE mj fan (before his passing and after) and i HATED the thriller 25 remixes. but i really like these on the Suites!
Yes, it takes away the funk. The problem with these kinds of arrangements is that they don't give the song anything. While for example the original arrangement of this song lifts the song higher, this one doesn't do nothing else than filling up some space imo. A simple drumloop (with bad sounding bass drum - especially when having a subwoofer...Should use some actual bassline instead, a drum doesn't do the job) with only some synth parts here and there really ain't enough to do the song justice.
yeah i agree with you....the bassline in the original explores the song....it just could have been way better- i don't know if your into Hip Hop (Hip Hop to me is De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, etc....)
but, Q-tip samples Dancing Machine on his album The Renaissance and the video pays homage to Mike from his Don't Stop Till You Get Enough video...check that out, he remixed that lovely....thanks for the reply back, take care (*:
OMG me to the day it came out, and the moment i got home i searched for this song to download (legaly) and made my own michael jackson best dance moves tribute to it, its my best video yet, i love this remix.
I made a music video to this, please let me put it on your video response when it has uploaded, it will show your video to when people click on my video this remix if sik, i love it!

I love the original. But this one is cool too!
