I saw Francois "live" at L.A. Wilshire-Ebell theater in the 1950s. The musical effect, the charisma! He played the Prokofiev Son. 7 among other pieces. I remember he played a Baldwin piano. Those were the days....there was personality & differences in expression.....(sigh)

@saintansele I saw him live in Tunis in 45-46 ... played Beethoven, op 53 sonata "A Waldstein" ... Never forgot
