Yeah, I don't do them on mine (to old and fat) But, my son has done it on mine. He rides a Suzuki B-kinc and ZX 1000. And is a decent rider. I don't let him ride my favorite bike much. LOL
I'm sure you could do it even with a stocker if you tried hard enough. They've got plenty of power, it's just hard to get the tire to hook up under all that torque. All I can say is find a nice sticky patch of road on a hot day and spend some time getting the feel of the clutch. I have better luck starting the clutch dump at lower revs and then opening the throttle up as it engages. Have fun and don't tip over :)
Thats pretty cool! Its like somethings lifting the front wheel, like a hollywood CG or soemthing. Its just smooth into the air. I have a 1400 intruder, and its fast up and fast down.
I put higher compression pistons in, a high flow intake, and the Yamaha Speedstar exhaust. I also put in a Power Commander and had it dyno tuned for the setup. Max HP was 89 and Tq was 107.6.
Only had the front wheel of my Warrior up once. By mistake. Luckily I was wearing a helmet so nobody saw me shriek in panic and dissolve into tears. I'm manly.
Thanks for all the comments... I'm really not that crazy though. It wheelies pretty easy if you can get it to hook up, and there's not much risk of it coming over because it's so damn heavy. I'll admit, it's much easier on a sportbike though.
i agree fran man,,, i ride a 2001 gixxer 1000, and that wouldnt impress me on a gsxr,, but on a cruiser,, it looked badass,, sounded good too,,, look up harley wheelies,, even more impressive,,,, Great video
Its true..I dont know why poeple are dissing this but I road both and yes the V-rod is faster but the Warrior handle better and feels better to. The V-Rod felt like a skiny bike at the front and huge at the back. Its not a realy good feeling in the twisties. So I made my choice. I now own a Warrior. Go take a look at my video.
omg ...... ive had crotch rockets my whole life but age is settin in so i settled for a warrior.... i figured it was still sporty lookin but i was gonna miss the wheelies .... DAMNNNNNNNNNN this has got me all excited .... i just bought one and i pick it up in a couple months ..... hehehehe yessssssssssss

Working on getting some high compression pistons installed on my 2000 Road Star- extremely excited.... How much did the dyno tune run you?
TRohr 2 years ago
I can't remember exactly, maybe $250. You'll need a power commander too.
WilsonFX 2 years ago
what modifications where made to the engine?

I'm wondering the same thing. I've owned mine for 4 years and have never had the front tire off the ground. That was sick!

I'm a crotch rocket fan.
N I must admit, that this is one bad ass bike.
I'm trying to get my uncle to get one, since he doesn't want a crotch rocket.
Kudos to the rider.

Is the warrior the fastest cruiser? Would it beat a 600cc sport bike "CBR"? Or a 1000 cc sport bike?
knighcs66 3 years ago
ya, the new 600 sportbikes are sick, even tho i ride a Liter bike,, id take a 600 anyday,,

No, the warrior is a fantastic bike (I highly recommend them), but the speed and acceleration of the HD V-Rod was NOTICEABLY more.

It may be quicker but the VRod is still the bastard child on HD. I still run into other HD owners that think it should be discontinued.

A couple... only good for about 10 Hp though.
10.25:1 Patrick Racing Pistons
Big Air Kit
Yamaha Speedstar Exhaust
Dynojet PCIII with custom map
Dyna Performance Coils
The stock warrior has plenty of power to wheelie... the trick is to get enough traction.
