Its not about supporting the President. Most everyone here wants the country to succeed, its just a disagreement on how to make that happen. Up until now we have been incredibly successful with Capitalism. The American dream was never that our countrys poor should be brought up or that everyone should live equally. The Dream is that everyone has the oppurtunity to become whatever they want to become. Obama wants to change all that, its hard to except changing a forumla that has worked so well

What are you talking about? Statistics say the American economy hasn't been doing well.
Capitalism was partly responsible for a World War, the Great Depression and a Global Recession. That isn't incredible success - it's massive fail.
I'm not trying to say(/suggest) Socialism is -the- way forward. Rather, I want you to understand that Capitalism has quite remarkable flaws.

Capitalism has created the greatest country of all time. Does it have flaws? Sure. Are any of them enough to outweight "greatest country of all time?" No. Capitalism has been under attack since the 90's, yet its still alive and kicking. Even China is seeing a economic boom from experimenting with a free market, though its far from being one still. its not perfect, but its the best of the options

no way is perfect...one of the biggest down parts of capitalism is the economic pattern..its kinda built so that there will be a pattern like,,,no matter what we will at some point have a down economy then at that point the goal is2 not let it go down to a depression... now in my opinion we will Never get the economy down to the Great depression,,,we have kind of fixed it so it cant get that way again however i do think we are in a kind of "modern day" depression... its just part of the flow

of course its not perfect... one of the biggest down sides of capitalism is the inevitable economic pattern..we will always at some point have a down economy then it will go back up then it will get too high and we have inflation..imo we are n a modern day depression... its just part of the flow..hopefully it wont last but i think our system is one of the best considering that gov and econ is so complex that it will never be perfected

I'm thinking back on what I learned in history so you may want to educate me on how America's capitalist system was responsible for Germany invading Poland and the U.S. embargo of Japan.
