  • i love this it is awesome! i love all ur videos :)

  • congrats on the piece as a bassoon player would be great to give this a go got any sheet music?

  • @edd01 Hi, yes, please see my website for ordering the sheet music. (YouTube doesn't allow links in comments, but the link is in the video description.)

  • this is cool

  • it's great that you were able to write the music in sheet form (i know i wouldn't be able to do that do that) but some of the french horn parts are slightly off & incredibly high, which was annoying for me. oh, & there weren't any accents

  • @ZRolando Thank you for the input; it helps me make better arrangements for next time. I can agree about the range for the horn. Being a pop song please feel free to adjust the octaves to better suit you!

  • @eeveelution730 That is so awesome! Thank you for performing it! Any chance someone got a recording?

  • OMG...THE BEST I'VE EVER HEARD!!! XD I GOTTA GET THE MUSIC!!! LOV IT!!!

  • WHAT AN AMAZING ARRANGEMENT! I'D LIKE TO HAVE THE SHEET!

  • @marubaba Thanks! The sheets are available from my website (linked in the video description).

  • can i copy this music? thank you

  • @nivekclarinet Hi, the sheet music is available on my website. You're definitely welcome to download the sound file and make your own arrangements, too. :-)

  • @NewEdit617 hey. i love this video. i've watched this video more than once. thanx 4 da video.

  • Today a year ago we lost a legend his name was Michael Joseph jackson. he was the best performer, entertainer and dancer. Keep his name alive! there will never be another like him! Rest in Peace i cannot believe a year has gone bye! RIP Michael Jackson ♥

  • omg yall 3 haters are lame! this is good! ^_^

  • @MissKittyJunkie Thank you, I appreciate it!!!

  • @NewEdit617 aww you're welcome! after all, it's the truth that this is good! =DDD

  • O i love it!! Wonderful job!! Wow im amazed!

  • What grade level is this played at because I want to play it with my quartet.....and then find a french horn......so it can be a woodwind quintet!

  • I'm not sure what level I'd give it but it is one of the most difficult arrangements for all of the instruments. Each instrument has to play a pretty large range, and there are a lot of non-traditional rhythms because it is a pop song. The nice thing about pop music, though, is that it would be okay to omit notes or add some extra rests if you needed to.

  • i play bassoon and i adore this arragement(s)..im gonna buy it and get some friends to play it with me in the school talent show :D

  • Cool. I hope you and your group have fun playing it. :-)

  • @bigpapas12 omg I play bassoon too!!! isnt it like the most awsome instrument ever?!!!

  • this is so amazing i play clarinet and never sounded that good is somebody really playing that?

  • Keep up your hard work and you will sound great! This is actually a program called Finale with Garritan instruments, though-- it's an electronic recording rather than real people. I'm hoping for a live recording some day soon.

  • Is this published?

  • There is a link to my website in the video description (can't post links in the comments) and the sheet music is available to order from the site.

  • this is completely amazing. especialy fond of this and your metellica cover. i'm going to talk to some of the kids at my highschool and see if we can get a group together...i'm a horn player, and i think the biggest problem honestly would be an oboe...=p but extreme kudos on your part. i'd love a brass something tho...

  • Oboist here! LOL I doubt we live near each other, though. It would great to hear these recorded.

I'd like to work on brass pieces, too, but I don't play any brass instruments so it is more difficult for me to arrange those. I will learn more about their ranges and work on something in the future though.

    Best wishes for your playing.

  • @NewEdit617 WELL, that'd be useful...lol. we have a kid learning bassoon for concert season next year...i'm top horn...and we've got a flute player who could do it. the thing is, our top clarinet is starting to learn oboe...and he's a freshman. so, that might be an issue if he can't learn it fast enough. cuz the flute and other clarinet, as well as bassoon, are all graduating next year. so if he can learn the part, we might play it.

  • i play flute n i luv these songs so much.mj is the greatest entertainer that ever lived

  • clarinet doesn't play the last note :-/

  • True, I didn't write one, but the clarinetist is welcome to play a note there on the final chord if he/she would like to...

  • this is amazing.

  • Thanks! MJ is a legend.

  • This is great! I'm thinking of buying.

But why does it go straight from Beat It to Billie Jean?

  • Glad you like it.

I just arranged it that way; I thought the medley transitioned pretty well between those two songs.

  • could u send me the clarinet sheet music please?

  • dang i dont wanna buy it. lol

  • send me the sheets for flute???? and if u can french horn?

  • Glad you like it! The sheets are available at my website. (YouTube comments don't allow hyperlinks, but the link is in the video description)!

  • Bravo!!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!

  • What music program is this?

  • It's in the video description also, but I used Finale to do the composing and sounds, Music Animation Machine to sync the sounds with animation, CAM Studios to record the screen capture, and Windows Movie Maker to put it together at the end.

  • this is amazing! I totally love the Human Nature part! any chance just have that part as a standalone?

  • preferably in B-flat clarinet or Alto Saxophone

  • Yes, I think I could do that. If you just want a single instrument part (such as B-flat clarinet), those sheets are available from my website (link in video description).

  • can you send me all those sheets so i can learn it. The Clarinet one. Maybe some of the others.

  • well I play Tuba in out school band and we would REALLY wanna play this at school... Do you think that maby you could talk to our band dircetor?

  • Yes, sure! Please send me a private message about how you want to go about doing this... I'd be happy to talk with your band director to see if your school would be able to play this.

  • THAT WAS SOOO COOL!!! Do you think you could make a triller one with some low brass intruments. Preferably Tuba, please.

  • I could probably arrange this for brass quintet, yes. Do you have a brass group? That would be cool!

  • You should do a Stevie Wonder Medley, that would be so cool.

  • I'll add it to the list...

  • brilliant...you wouldnt happen to have a break down of the score for this would you?

  • I do; please contact me by private message for more information.

  • Wow! I've been studying woodwind scores for a really long time now because I have to write one... but the hell with that! What you've done is so much more helpful, and very cool!

  • Heh, I'm glad to hear that, although I should warn you've I've not had any formal composition or arrangement training! Good luck with your work.

  • that's pretty cool hehe gj

    and happy new year ;)

  • Hey man, I really love this quintet arrangement and I was wondering if you could send me the file for my woodwind quintet to play?

  • Thanks for writing (and listening). Could you please email me at NewEdit617/Yahoo and we'll work something out?

  • finale notepad?

  • Yes, I use Finale. I prefer the very simple (and free) program Noteworthy Composer for composing, so I usually write in that and then transfer to Finale for the sounds.

  • I have the free program too. it does everything i need. and nothing i dont!

  • awsume job u guys shood b pround of ur selfs it was great

  • you guys are awsesome instead of all woodwind you should add a trumpet perhaps

  • Thanks.

Yeah, we could definitely arrange this for a brass quintet or some other grouping. The woodwind quintet instrumentation is pretty standard, and that's the type of group I play in, so that's why it's arranged that way. :-)

  • i play a flute and im trying to kno how to play mj songs

  • i heart woodwind =]

  • how do u do this it is sweet great job

  • Thank you! I'm sorry it took so long to respond-- for some reason I didn't notice your comment until today!

For making these arrangements I listen to the song many times and try to transcribe it. Occasionally there is a MIDI file available and I can re-arrange some parts from that and add more to it. I've been using a free program called Noteworthy Composer, but for the sound here I downloaded the demo version of Finale. I don't necessarily endorse Finale for notating--

  • it requires too many mouse clicks for simple entry-- but it does have fantastic sounds.

Then I used a free program called Music Animation Machine to sync the music file (saved as a MIDI) with the moving shapes. There are a variety of shapes, colors, patterns, etc. I recorded this by making a screen capture with CAM Studio (also free). Then, because MIDI instruments sound pretty bad, I imported the CAM video to Windows Movie Maker, along with an MP3 output of the song... saved video...

  • and uploaded!

Anyway, I hope that answers your question, LOL! I'd be interested in hearing anything you compose :-)

  • sorry bout that comment bein done 3 times :S

plus i take it back , i think this is the most amazing thing ive seen and heard on YouTube to this date.

  • Wow! Thanks so much for your kind words. Glad you liked it. Your keyboard version of "Human Nature" is awesome, too... lots of people don't realize how much effort it can take to figure out a song by ear!

  • what the fuck is this ?

the most fucking AMAZING video and music ive ever seen? ... well i wouldnt go that far but jesus that is amazing man !!!!

5 stars keep it up :D
