I've seen videos of the GSP1101 review some of the sounds and wah sound, but in the specifications digitech effects including wah does not appear in the GSP1101. THE WAH GSP1101 comes or not included in its effects?
hi .. desire PROCESSOR DIGITECH GSP1101 purchase was now reviewing all the effects that come and apparently does not bring WAH I'm right? recently visit the digitech and not among the effects that are specified. tell me if WAH brings or not? Thank you.
Do you think this is better than a digidesign rack 11? I have owned digitech in past and loved them although some of it sounded too digital. Trying to decide between the gsp 1101 or the rack 11..
@sm34g I use the Eleven Rack, it's supposed to have an update that adds more stuff soon. It's got some awesome sounds but it doesn't have a lot of cabs and stuff. I always have to use impulses and Pro Tools effects for big sounds. The GSP1101 has a lot more stuff from what I can tell. I am thinking about getting one just for the extra cabs and fx. I use a Mesa Boogie Quad Preamp into the Eleven Rack because it is lacking in really overdriven rock or metal sounds on it's own.
Im looking for something to put in a rack and use with a midi controller. Possibly a ground control just to make switching easier and to have more sounds instead of 15 pedals. Would this still sound great in the effects loop of my 6505+? thanks
@mmaviator22 In my opinion this sounds best with a solid state power amp. The tone starts getting too dirty for me with a tube amp/FX return. The Rocktron Velocity 300 does the job very well.
@mmaviator22 Yes it works great i have the same 6505+ head and its tone is the best when you run through the fx loop!!! then it gives you the true sound of the processer... as far as using it with a solid state head im sure it sounds good but nothing beats a Tube Head !!! I dont care what anyone says tubes are the way to go bro!!!and if it gets to dirty ? Then just back off the gain on the head a little bit .. good choice on the 6505+ bro !!!
Please all watch my new videos of GSP1101. These sounds here are just pure shit because of youtube audio encoding... They're Metal presets but I might upload some lighter stuff soon!
@yrms Dont worry gsp sounds awesome even with youtube fucking with the video...lol.But tell me apart from the impulses and some other details isnt this basically the sound of the rp1000? i mean amp sim wise....and iam asking you cause iam torn between the two for live use....and i was leaning towards the rp1000 due t to fact that is compact and doesnt need a midi controller.Iam thinking minimalistic here....straight to the pa most of the times and such....which one would you prefer for live use?
@Dreamdancer11 They are basically the same yeah. So far I'm still using the GSP but might change to something new. Maybe RP1000 or even some High End Pod. They are just as great as these Digitech Things
I'm in the market for one of these and just sold my GSP artist Pro and have outgrown the old Valve FX I need something that switches seamlessly and that keeps my tone intact :) I love your presets man! :) TTYS!
Hmmm I'm looking at the GSP1101 Manual and there is NOT a Randall RG100 amp model or a "Vintage" 4x12. there are lots of Cabs that could be classified as Vintage 4x12's. Is the Randall included in a firmware revision?
I like that Back and Black preset! Hey do you have a higher encoded video? Sounds a little messed up (can tell in the drums) but I mean you can still tell it sounds good but I reupload stuff when I forget to set the audio to 320 (everything defaults to 56 for web and that sux unless you use dialup lol)
@bigguitarbro No you don't have to have a power amp if you don't want to mate, you can plug ur headphones in and use the unit as an amp for silent practice and it works awsome for that just make sure you set it's controls for headphones or mixer or it sounds like shit. You can also plug into your computer via USB and play it like that, but a power amp makes this thing shine! Cheers, IC.
I bought this unit last April. Do I need to download any new sounds or patches. I see a lot of the patches on youtube that I don't have. Need some help. Thanks.
Hey I'm looking at buying a digitech gsp1101, i'm already running a mesa boogie markV head so i'm wondering if i'm really able to use it's distorted tone and just apply the digitech as strictly an fx processor when needed? thanks for any help or response
Can you use xedit with this unit when connected through USB to a mac? Mainly some sort of virtual manipulation of controls is what i'm looking for while recording. thanks.
Thank you so much for uploading this sound sample. This review helps me to decide to buy this gear. I was just looking for very detailed sound sample and now I found!!! I owe you a lot!
If you decide to buy 1 I believe you'll be very happy. I have one and it's now my main FX unit. The amp models sound good but their kinda dated, no new amp mods like engl, diesl etc, mostly stuff from the 70's and 80's..If that's the sound you're looking for,it'll be a good investment.
this might sound stupid but can someone tell me exactly what this does. Is it just a boost to your amp or does it work like a pedalboard. someone plz explain it to me.
I dont know if you're a guitar player or not, but if you are....Being age 42 and not knowing what a multi FX processor is , is pretty bleak dude...You need out get out more!
For all of you who want presets: My device is at the moment in our rehearsal room/studio because of my bands recordings. When I get my device back home I send the presets.
..Dave Mustaine uses this ù.ù so i think it will be great to have one if you play metal...

Found this video because the legendary King Diamond guitarist Andy La Rocque uses one, as mentioned on his official website.

Does The GSP 1101 sound good going straight into a mixing board? My band is looking to lighten the load going to gigs, and i've been eyeing this up.
cerebralstatic 1 year ago
@cerebralstatic I think it sounds the best straight to the mixer. It's great direct in my opinion

could i use this infront of my amp (Blackstar Ht-20) and use all the features? (Amp modles, Effects, Cab Models ect.)

@88segovia Yes you can, but it's best with only a poweramp In my opinion.

it is an amp modeler. you can imitate marshall, mesa, vox, etc etc etc without going out and spending thousands of dollars.
the gsp1101 is likely the best processor for the money available right now. even if you just use it for the stompboxes it's paid itself off

@rageohol1 the rp500 has better stompboxes... and is better ... well 2 me

The GSP goes into poweramp of Crate VC50 Head. It sounds good but you must do different patches for using direct and with amp of course..
