I've noticed, from personal experience, that perents do want their kids to do great from the beginning, which is in school K-12 but their guidance is not thorough. I mean to say they only warn their kids of the importance of an education, which is not enough. Kids have to be handled to do their work and make sure they are keeping up, also motivated to participate in school activities,groomed for college most important.
