Does anyone else think that this song plays like a coda of "Exile"? With the lyrics "I am home, feeling so far away," she has returned from exile after sailing home ("Orinoco Flow"), but still feels separated from everything. So she leaves again in "River" and "The Longships," trying to find what she's lost.
That's one of the things I absolutely love about this album--it tells a story without being obvious about it.

This song is great!! It reminds me of an early evening, red heaven of sunset by the mountains, and a beautiful evening star hanging over it. Almost makes me cry, it is so peaceful.
