Number three .... for Joe B ! Confirmed on his website gear forum, Facebook and LP forum. Man this is so exciting, the anticipation of hearing this amazing sounding '60 in his hands. IMHO, the intro of crystal dreamy clarity showcasing the pure PAF voice of this great 'burst has really set a standard & raised the bar on featuring vintage instruments ... Anyway, for whatever your vid did for getting this into Joe's arsenal, thanks a million !!!
@ponkipeses and @PBANDSNOW thanks :) that body it's great, i much more like the matt ones than the polished i see nowdays.Yesterday i've been to a guitar shop and they only have the polished :( ...anyway sorry for bad english :)
Exquisite tone. Jim Rutters should be made aware of that AMAZING bridge plate! I want one! I am not a collector and most LP lore begins and ends with my plain-top 2000's LP 'Classic' model (not to be confused with Gibson's earlier 'Classic 60') The Les Paul Classic with the 'plain' top is Gibson's most modest, though very nice(!) re-issue-styled Les Paul: factory Nashville bridge and factory Burstbuckers. Mine came through with one of Gibson's 'faded' tops. That bridge plate is SO cool(!)...
this is what you live for boys and girls...it would be an honor too play a box like that....i have been playing since i was 6 and i am now 43 and i dont think i am good enough too play that thing...listen too the endless sustain
You're just so expecting the usual wound up tone right away ... outstanding intro, very subdued and Fleetwood Mac Albatross-like vibe ... plus sweet Bigsby use. Classic clean PAF tone ... a terrific demo of this iconic instrument !
So nice to see these getting some airtime & not locked in their glass cages! That '60 is in amazing condition ... nice to see the Bigsby still intact, so many were removed & it sounds awesome on the intro chords. Your guy's got some formidable arsenal of playing styles going on too, the intro is sweet & soulful & balances nicely with the blues, swing & country I'm hearing in the other vids. Does he do lessons ?? Mucho props for getting this thing up & running & looking forward to more tone !!
