  • its not the peoples fault. its mindcontrol by ELF weapons and nanochemicals- I call it spiritual manipulation.

  • please more....

  • jetsunma tenzin palmo , thank you. thank you for all you've given us. rhonda sue blankenship, west grove , pa.

  • UN Agenda 21.

UN Agenda 21 in action here (Joe Public is to be re-educated and told to consume less). I once held Buddhism in high regard, unfortunately the Dalai Lama is in cahoots with the UN (as are so many "spiritual leaders" - in order to exert control over their followers).

It is quite sad to see so many Westerners run off to foreign locations to "find themselves" - while completely ignoring their own cultural roots.

Agenda 21 isn't easy reading, but details the UN's global ideals.

  • from your words you did not learn any thing thats sad, what a waste of time. ya western should go back to europe and learn there cultural.

  • I would love to have a bowl of rice with her.

  • bright woman.

head above the clouds, feet on the ground.

how could we get this worry that she so clearly expresses around? it could not be easy for any to be cynical, if one just had the opportunity to speak with such clear minded person as she is!

  • lianghaochen, maybe when you want to judge, you should think with your logic beforehand. When you're biased toward certain person or groups of people, you'll be more likely to neglect what is really important. And, that eventually makes you look like a person who talks without thinking.

  • ya, tell it to your dalai lama who takes millions from CIA, see if he agrees.

  • @jackidol1 wow, your level of intelligence is shocking

  • @lianghaochen and yours is common ...

  • I don't agree that the earth is in crisis. The earth has been here for 4 billion years, and will be here for many more. When we've killed eachother off the earth will restabilise itself and be fine.

I think the point is that if we want to continue living on this planet as a species we have to respect it otherwise we will be the ones to suffer (well, our children).

Its a political and moral message. We should be content with what we have and stop demanding "things" that are destroying our world.

  • @anatoriac maybe she meant 'earth' as not the earth itself but Our world.

  • @anatoriac i think that's what she was saying

  • I must disagree with the comment that, "The earth is not in crisis. We are". In actuality, both are in crisis (all beings, as well as the earth). Our ignorance and greed is not sustainable, and hasn't been for some time. We ARE depleting limited resources as the global population continues to exponentially increase. The cost of our delusion is just too great to ignore any longer. If our plan for the future resembles anything close to our current operating system, all is in grave danger.

  • No, the earth is not in crisis, we are. We could disappear along with hundreds of other species, just as the dinosaurs did and the earth would go on in beauty and silence.

  • How sensible Venerable Tenzin Palmo's words are. She is loved by so many regardless of race and culture.

  • Yes, as paulrichardschuster says, vast areas of the globe are uninhabited... by people. These areas are inhabited by vast numbers of other beings, which, in the Buddhist view, also have a right to live and flourish. Who would like to live in a world where only people, crops and livestock existed? Just a thought. May Tenzin Palmo continue teaching for the benefit of all sentient beings.

  • she didn't say the space is the problem - she asked "how is the Earth going to *support* so many people"

that there are enough resources for more and more people is by no means obvious. Dalai Lama often warns about that too

  • How is the world going to support so many self-centered greedy people who consume hundreds of times what they truly need for a happy and peaceful life. The whole thing is bound do collapse some day soon.

  • That was more a political message than a Buddhist one. This world has more than enough room. Vast areas of the globe are uninhabited. We have yet to realize the earths abundance and our imaginative ways to utilize it. The earth is not in crisis. We are.
