  • Koch's libertarian ideas of freedom basically revolve around property rights and their so-called rights to hoard and control resources (including human resources) allowing them the liberty to live high on a hill and piss in our drinking water. And let's not forget, these sociopaths also want smaller government so there's less chance they'll ever be held accountable.

  • I dont want the Keystone Pipeline...

The potential for a disasterous rupture above the largest pure water aquafer in america is not worth the risk of Americas clean water supply.

Oil companies have already proven that they can not be trusted to keep our water clean.

Look at the Exxon spill into the Yellowstone river in Luaral, Montana. Hundreds of miles poluted. Look at the BP spill in the Gulf. The Exxon Valdes. And, look at this. There's not enough space to name them all! Can't Trust'em!!

  • HIDDEN CURE.Cancer is a deficiency disease caused by a lack of nitrilosides in the modern western diet just like scurvy is a deficiency of vitamin C. Big Pharma/FDA profiteers have covered up the cure and have declared it fraud and quackery for over 60 years.Watch WORLD WITHOUT CANCER YouTube documentary and investigate these facts.Thousands have been cured just by adding this essential compond to their diet without the self destructive and devastating drugs, chemo and radiation.Choose life.

  • Why should a doctor or a health insurance company have to pick up the Koch brother's tab after they poison the working class?

  • the koch brothers have done the same thing in Tomahawk Wisconsin

  • JUST THINK FOLKS: REPUBLICANS WANT TO GET RID OF THE EPA! IF YOU THINK THE GOVERNMENT DOESN'T DO ENOUGH THEN IMAGINE IF THEY DO NOTHING!!

  • @Athruebelief Yeah imagine life with-out perpetual WAR that would be so horrible.

  • @simontimon2 Imagine a life with-out perpetual war? War has been so profitable to conservatives; why in the world would they want to abandon it? Conservative politicians in the U.S. seem to be supporting the War machine pretty well. A master always needs it's puppets as well.

  • @Athruebelief War isn't profitable, the cost of ocupying Iraq is more then the entire GDP of Iraq. Anywone who thinks that war is profitable must have failed mathematics in kindergarten.

  • @simontimon2 I wish you could explain that to the morons who make the claim i give. Wait, they are right. It is profitable.....profitable only to those in the war machine (corporations). Haliburton, etc. I do appreciate you agreeing with me that war isn't profitable. If only you could tell that to the GOP. Hey,heard they want to go to war in iran now. How profitable is that going to be? I know you know the answer, but what about the GOP?

  • That won't happen, simply because Iran realy does have nuclear weapon. The nature of a bully is never to fight somewone that can fight back.

Remeber in the good old days when the GOP used to be the anti-war party, don't forget Dwight D. Eisenhower ended the Korean War.

  • @simontimon2 You haven't been watching the GOP debates lately. War with iran under one of those goons is inevitable. As for IKE there are some things i like about him. Too bad the GOP lost it's way,and decided to go the way of extremism.

  • @Athruebelief It is the law of politics to say one thing then do the other.

  • @simontimon2 You can say that again! Got one for you: How bout the hypocracy of the GOP when it came to the stimulus. Did you realize there are over 100+ GOPer's who spoke against the stimulus, yet asking for the stimulus? Or how bout how they took credit in their districts for the stimulus, yet tell america it failed? I learned something new bout Ron Paul: He asked for stimulus for high speed rail for texas. Thought he told the truth about disliking pork? Hmmm.

  • @Athruebelief Most of them are using the argument that, they took our money in taxes in the first place, might as well get as much of it back.

The problem with that is that everyone is taking from everyone, and in the end everyone’s broke.

  • @Athruebelief The problem with the stimulus is to ask yourself not whether it failed, did it even work?

Sure helped the rich get richer

  • @simontimon2 Thought the rich were the job creators? Why you so against the free market?

  • @Athruebelief There is no free market, just cronyism.

  • @simontimon2 Also my friend,in the good ole' days america was more a "WE SOCIETY" than a "ME SOCIETY" of today.

  • @simontimon2 By the way Bush Jr's I.Q. is low,but what does that say about the people who voted for him?

  • Without money we can't fight what is happening... There is no one to fight for the underdog. I am sick and tired of what is happening to the people in america. Corporations have been getting away with this for years, and years... No one really cares until it comes to their back yard. The government is not protecting the people.

  • Alex Jones will love to hear about you guys. you guys are heroes.

  • We get it that they don't give a crap about people, but they sure give a damn about profits. I just don't understand why the Koch Bros would want to kill off and disable consumers, they will lose paying customers and also money through lawsuits.

  • 7.15 billion was last years EPA budget, doesn't matter if you raised that to a 100 billion, nothing would happen because the EPA is government funded which means governed politically by political will.

Which means a politician will say to a company that if you don't give me campaign contribution will crack down on you.

So the companies give out the contributions and nothing happen.

  • @simontimon2 that is the heart and soul of #OCCUPYWALLSTREET, which is> get the corrupt corporate campaign financing out of politics now!

  • @Yankhadenough But even if there was no corporate campaign financing in politics. Government would still largely serve those that funded it. The top 10% pays 71% of federal income tax. Under the current tax system who do you think government is more likely to serve.

  • @simontimon2 with the removal of corrupt corporate campaign financing, the government will serve those who VOTED for them If the uber wealthy vote to PAY taxes instead of voting to AVOID taxes, then so be it! ;)

  • @Yankhadenough As with all democracies, it eventually collapses when the givers have either left or have been bled dry.

They are no stable forms of just government

  • @simontimon2 yes, the poor & middle class are fed up giving to the 1% takers, can't squeeze our blood from a turnip, though they try. Corruption collapses democracy, however democracy works when we stabilize it with our VOTES (the only thing that scares the 1% besides voting with our feet)

  • @Yankhadenough The truth is that 51% are givers and 47% are takers, there are 1% of the supper takers ie(Mark Popolano CEO of AIG) and there are 1% supper givers i.e Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg.

It is the takers and Super takers that are ruining this country not the supper givers and givers.

  • @simontimon2 we have to go after the corruption AND the corrupt, like Popolano and Kochs. Not one person's vote is more valuable than another's, that's why its one person/one vote

  • @Yankhadenough the current system of one person = one vote would only work if everyone paid the same amount of taxes.

This current system has led to problem of the takers voting to take from the givers, to the point that if you eat the richest 1% and take everything they have, you still would have a deficit this year.

These problems are unsolvable, and will lead to an inevitable collapse, similar to that of the Soviet Union.

  • @Yankhadenough “You can ignore reality, but you can not ignore the consequences of ignore reality”

  • @Yankhadenough Democracy in its nature hates equality; an example would be the poll tax in England (A tax that everyone paid the same amount whether rich or poor) it was the most hated tax in British history. There were riots against it.

  • @simontimon2 Really off-topic of this video, but I'll bite. What part of British history ? How did this take place, was it imposed by monarchy or did their representatives vote for it, etc? If imposed by monarchy, then that is NOT democracy. If it was voted upon by their elected representatives, then citizens had every right to vote them out of office, that IS democracy.

  • @Yankhadenough The British poll tax was enacted the late 1980's during the Margaret Thatcher administration, it was one of the main reasons she lost popularity.

    The masses are easily convince that 2 + 2 = 5

Hitler got elected as the supreme head of state with a vote of

    Yes 89.9% 37,758,000

    No 10.1% 4,242,000

You can't vote gravity out of exsistance

  • @simontimon2 that's exactly why this current corporatism (aka fascism ) is so dangerous, US candidates can take the corrupt corporate campaign financing "legally" now. The Supreme Court decision Citizens vs FEC that made this graft "legal" must be overturned, or the Amendment passed for it to cease & desist

  • @Yankhadenough Even if that where to happened, you would still be stuck with major problems of a largely centralised government.

  • @simontimon2 I have no problem with centralized govt, its the only thread that keeps the "united" in the United States of America. The idea of 50 unregulated kingdoms is very scary. These folks are dying with an understaffed EPA, I don't even want to think what would happen to our water supply and air qualify with no EPA at all.

  • @Yankhadenough The US government was created when the population was 4 million, now it's 300 million 75x times what it was

Though-out history large central government never last long, they eventualy suffocate under there own weight.

What are you gonna do when secessionist movement gain power, states start voting themselfs out of the Union?

  • @simontimon2 ahh, finally, your true motive for being here, anti-EPA decentralization secessionist movement. So how is your little kingdom going to handle toxins and carcinogens killing the serfs then? Or is that a non-issue to the secessionist movement?

  • @Yankhadenough The EPA currently receives 7.15 billion and has only existed since 1970.

Before then, the environment was protected through private property right, you dump acid on my land I sue you till it stops.

The current EPA has proven to be absolutely incompetent, pissing billions with-out any results.

And what would you do if a State democratically secede, are you for or against democracy?

  • @simontimon2 the wait -until-your-family-dies-and-then-sue-polluters-afterwards-thing wasn't working, thus creation of EPA was passed into law. I have no beef against a state democratically seceding, it's just never been a priority issue for me. So the whole time you've been here has nothing to do with stopping Koch Industries pollution from killing people, but your secessionist movement? okaay, got it!

  • @simontimon2 Yeah, that makes a lot of sense! Sue the company after everyone in your family is dead! That plan is pure genius! Wait! How can you sue the company if you don't have the information or proof needed even if the company did in fact slaughter your entire family? How do you obtain the critical information if the company will not share what is in their products to begin with? I guess people like you will never learn until it happens to your family;and i bet it has,but you just don't know!

  • @simontimon2 You know what's ironic? Canada supposedly being a environmentally friendly country! HA! That's a bunch of bull! The TAR SANDS are a great example of canada's hypocracy! Selling ASBESTOS to this day is another little known secret about canada. As for your comment on democracy; what democracy? Not much democracy left since corporations took over, and the people got scewed.

  • @simontimon2 the poor have been taken

  • @Yankhadenough "voting with our feet" Where?

  • @simontimon2 transfer bank accounts to credit unions for one

  • @Yankhadenough PS it's safer to just by gold

  • LOOK...MAN..If this company is dumping their chemicals in the rivers they got to go..i like to swim , i like to fish..we drink water for god sake what's wrong with these people

  • Get the church of the area involved. Call the priest, pastors, ministers of the

    parish.

  • @ourarnie doubful . they are evalgelicals that all support repigs because of gay and abortion issues

  • corporate scumbags

  • Koch must be blocked!!!

  • The Koch's make the robber barons of old look like churchmen!

  • ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD THEY FUND THE tea party. Eff those guys. They didn't "work" for their money. They inherited their $42B oil company from their anti-progressive father.

  • shut down the EPA, as long as we know we aren't (foolishly) trusting in them to watch out for us, then we can count on citizens groups to test waterways, emissions, air, land samples and publish finding on the internet and news (once we take it back from corporate control) Have laws in place, which there already is. But instead of fines, make sure corporations aren't people so broken laws lead to jail sentences of corporate heads, (the only way to make them be held accountable)

  • They need a class action lawsuit.

  • This is a MUST SHARE! What will it take for some to wake up to what's happening to our country? Great work, just one clarification, Shelly Moore resides in West Virginia, not Virginia.

  • @8:30 : SHAME on MIT

  • #OCCUPYWALLSTREET

  • rich powerful assholes don't give a fuck about human life or the enviornment sending them a letter aint gonna do shit They know what they are doing. Thats why their are growing epidemics of cancer, depression, learning disabilities, and all sorts of health problems plaguing this shit hole of a country. off with their heads.

  • @innHD I don't think it's just air pollution that contributes to learning disabilities. It's people having their kids late too. And yes they should be executed or something.

  • Comment removed

  • @innHD Ok, close the plant, now a thausand people are unemployed and have become poor, poverty reduces ones life by 20 years.

    Pick your killer.

  • The claims by the primary source in the clip, David Bouie, were rejected as part of a class-action and then, in June, 2011, were voluntarily withdrawn by Mr. Bouie himself. There is simply no basis, factual or legal, for his assertions. What’s more, in 1997, long before Koch owned Georgia-Pacific, Mr. Bouie and his wife waived all claims as part of a legal agreement with the company.

  • Good video..This is my home town ! Wow ! I used to live in west crossett and there were alot of neighbors that died from unusal diseases like gullian berret sysndrome , brain cancer & other rare diseases..Still live here..Damn !

  • @ArkansasGillum Thats insane. I wish they'd take responsibility for what they've done to these human beings. -_-

  • @tweety488 ..Yes its been going on way too long..Im 51..As a kid I suffered with severe sinus problems from living around that mill & still do as do many that live here..I have several high school friends that have cancer now and their my age....The people that lived in the house before we moved in , had a son that died young of brain cancer many years ago.Previous neighbors in west crossett had died of a variety of weird illness's..

  • @ wlwrk4food, lets make this simple for you. college education=4% unemployment rate, get an education and maybe you could afford some food. Oh wait, life is unfair and you didn't get the same opportunities as me, excuses excuses excuses. America is turning into a bunch of preschoolers with a life isn't fair attitude, I'm poor and you owe me something because I'm poor. Grow up.

  • @ARlibertarian This was about Environmental Protection and having Koch Industries pay for the damage they have done. Who said anything about free handouts?

  • @ARlibertarian LOL...your comment is utterly irrelevant. No industry should be allowed to dump toxins unfettered. This is disgusting. And for the record- I have a grad degree and make good money.

  • someone needs to load up a tank and dump this water at the court house and police department

  • @zaccc, you are right, welcome to America, home of the free and land of sorry people who want something for free!

  • @ARlibertarian talking about freeloaders? people who want "handouts" or whatever? this isn't even about that. who are the freeloaders in this society? The rich people feeding off the poor and the poor struggling to get by. wanna talk about people wanting something for free? these Koch-head brothers want to deregulate any and all safety regulation why? because they want MORE PROFIT and do not care about YOU the citizen! and YOU pay into this system that allows this bullshit to happen!!

  • You and I both pay into this outrage, our taxdollars we pay into the government that is manipulated by goverment so easily as a few extra dollars or a nice pair of shoes. I'll agree the government is being a whore. I dont like whores, maybe because I can't afford them, maybe because I dont wanna catch and STDs.. but the amercan government is definitely a KOCH-WHORE and guided by corporate greed rather than the needs of you and me.

  • The koch brothers haven't owned G.P. but just a few years. They are not to blame for any of this . David Bowie is only after a fast dollar. He has been a lazy shiftless person all of his life. As for that cough he had through out the whole video , he must have had a cold that day because he doesn't have that all of the time. You guys are a bunch of ass clowns!

  • Welcome to America.

  • Once again the river isn't gaseous the so called river in this video is a man made creek to carry waste water. They try to make it seem like that is the river to prove a point but I assure you that is not the river. I spent 32 of my 33 years in Crossett and I promise you the river looks nothing like that!

  • I know these people, half of them smoke or used to smoke. The 40 y/o lady did not die of primary lung cancer like they portray but breast cancer that metastasized to her lungs. Mr. Bouie is nothing but a trouble maker and always has been, wanting something for nothing. Nobody believes you should work for a living anymore, just sue somebody. This entire video is a joke, false, misleading, BS!

  • Wow bpf3, this video opened the door for your attack on Koch which I'm sure is the true reason for people posting it. I could make this same video of people who have died on the street I live on because cancer affects millions, and I live no where near the plant or that creek.

  • @ascended111111 here is my point ass hat! Every luxury you have today comes at a cost. If you don't agree with the way the waste is handled and if you're so fucking smart figure out a better way to handle it! I have an idea lets ship this business over seas and let them deal with it and put millions of americans out of work! OR you can just protest like I posted earlier don't buy lumber or plywood or paper or tissues or paper towels or toilet paper and just out them out if business! DUMBFUCK

  • The ownership of Koch Industries is not deterred by the experimental evidence indicating that formaldehyde causes cancer. When you are the owner of one of the world's most powerful corporations you wield tremendous power and you have access to the levers of power.

  • A good illustration of the scope of Koch Industries influence involves their resistance to the EPA's attempt to classify formaldehyde as a “known carcinogen.” Koch Industries has been lobbying to prevent this from happening. It is no coincidence that the company produces formaldehyde in great quantities.

  • Rather than pursue legislation that could force Koch Industries into line with the facts or protect the EPA from the Kochs' assaults, many members of the House and the Senate seem to share the Koch agenda.

In June, 2009, forty-seven of the Senate's 100 senators voted to permanently strip the EPA of its power to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. Some legislators are planning another attempt at passing legislation that would suspend the EPA's regulation of greenhouse gases.

  • Some truly absurd statements have come out of the Koch created think tank known as the Mercantus Center. In response to the EPA move to reduce surface ozone in 1997, Susan Dudley, a senior official at the Mercatus Center, argued that smog actually benefits humans because it reduces the incidence of skin cancer.

Koch Industries is taking on the EPA and they are mustering all the support they can buy to divest the agency of their regulatory powers.

  • Koch Industries has been at war with the EPA for decades. Rather than accept the EPA's science based approach to managing climate change, Koch funds organizations that fabricate their own facts and publish propaganda papers that pose as credible academic information. Armed with a blatent disregard for the facts, Koch industries is fighting the EPA on initiatives ranging from efforts to reduce surface Ozone, to the classification of formaldehyde as a carcinogen.

  • You can write letters until your hands fall off and they will do NOTHING about this. All of the criminals in Congress are bought and paid for by huge corporations like this. Until we end our criminal corporate government, the people will continue to suffer and die while they live off us like parasites. Check out the Republic for the united States for another choice.

  • @upsetDavid the people in this video live by the creek!

  • I don't understand why KOCH is being singled out i guess is my biggest complaint here. This happens everywhere there is a plant that uses chemicals. Has anyone ever took the time to think everywhere you see a plant of this sort there will be a river near by. Just a few miles south the old IP plant in Bastrop dumped in the very same river. Its a common practice and has been for years.

  • @alm1022 Yeah, and your point is....????

  • @alm1022 Because of the Koch brothers history and because they have their hands in every level of government across the country. They have regularly broken EPA rules and they have been known to hide their intentional violation of EPA laws. In addition the Koch bros. and the PACs they helped create provide the most anti-regulation money to congress. They are actively fighting for the ability to kill more people.

  • Im sure it does soak in the ground and im sure some evaporates. But all of that gets tested and meets guidelines set up by EPA. If you think that the guidelines aren't where they should be take it up with the EPA not KOCH. They don't make the rules they just play by them.

  • @alm1022 YOU must live by one of those gaseous rivers and your brain is f'd up to think the way you do. Either you are a shill plant, work for big corporations, and/or you are just a moron. Hey, I have an idea...why don't you move your family into one of those houses by one of those rivers and die there? One less idiot on the earth to pollute it! Melon head.

  • @alm1022 Koch doesn't make the rules themselves, they simply buy off the people who make them. Look at the rules that the Koch bros employees just passed in the house of representatives

  • @alm1022, glad somebody else has some sense on this post finally!!

  • *alm

  • Amen Alma!

  • Let me just out this out there. Ashley county pine tree capital of the south. Everyone is allergic to the pollen and keep some form of allergies most of the year round. Will years of exposure to this lifestyle cause cancer....I don't know but it seems like over exposure to pretty much everything causes cancer. I got a sunburn once but ain't trying to sue the sun!! If you're worried about it move!

  • @alm1022 no it won't. Chesapeake VA has a huge amount of pine tree pollen. In the spring and early summer everything gets covered with a yellow powder. It even gets inside houses. Lots of people suffer from allergies year round from it.

And is it not the people living near the creek reporting the problem. Any possibility that some of that polluted water is evaporating and putting harmful pollutants into the atmosphere, or being absorbed into the soil and making its way into groundwater?

  • Oh and by the way the shit you saw floating in that river wasn't a river at all. It was stink creek as we call it. It is the channel used to carry the waste water through it's cleaning process to the river. The mill is allowed to dump into the Quachita river a certain amount of waste water per so many amounts of fresh water set forth by the EPA. The mill follows this guide and if you are from Crossett you would know this because the mill is now in risk of shutting down due to the lack of rain.

  • Koch does what every paper company does. If you dont like it protest! Quit using paper products. That means no paper no tissue no paper towel and no toilet paper! Try wiping your ass with leaves for a while. Hope that works out for you. I grew up in Crossett but i have never been employed by GP or KOCH.

  • Lifestyle, smoking, second hand smoke, diet, grilled foods, microwaving unsafe products.....I heated up some soup last night in a blue bonnet butter bowl come to think of it, maybe I should sue em? This seems to be the way most of you think.

  • @ARlibertarian that is happening every where. You don't see concentrated cancer rates like that in other communities with smoking, grilled foods, microwave use, etc.

  • No evidence.GP environmental people and EPA test the air also and nothing the mill releases causes cancer. Your all throwing around very strong accusations with ZERO proof. You are mad that you are part of the 99% and not the 1%, so you think that since they could afford it and these people are sick, why not make em pay?

  • @ARlibertarian Then tell us Sherlock Holmes, what is causing the high cancer rates. How long did the government claim that Agent Orange didn't create serious health problems for the military members who were exposed to it. How many years was asbestos used in buildings and ships before the discovered it caused mesothelioma? It can't be proven yet, so they will get away with it with zero consequence for now anyway. It will be proven eventually though.

  • No the argument isn't wether or not they r dumping waste, yes they dump waste water and have for 50 yrs and have never tried to hide it, they r trying to say the waste they dump causes cancer which just isn't true. If you posted a comment saying the waste water is nasty and they shouldn't do it, well I would have no argument.

  • @ARlibertarian no it is the air pollution causing the lung cancer

  • Cock industries is disgusting these people are gonna get hit in the face with they're own fire im gonna watch them die

  • @keke, I understand your angry because u feel like I don't have a heart, but you are wrong. I've had many family members die with cancer, I think it's a horrible thing. But taking your anger towards an illness and letting someone manipulate you into believing 2 brothers who are billionaires and bought this company 5 years ago caused it is sad.

  • And I've watched Erin brokavich(sp) and thought the big company was horrible, but Koch isn't hiding anything and the EPA DOES test these waters all the time! It's all hot air and fluff to pull at ur heart strings! They have ZERO evidence and never will because they are NOT dumping waste that causes cancer.

  • No you are just blinded by a sad story, and u want someone to blame because life can't b that unfair, well it is! This forty year old lady on the video did NOT have primary Lung cancer like they portray, she had breast cancer that metastasized to her lungs, if u knew all the facts and wasn't blinded by a one sided story u might could understand. But u can't get a true view from this biased video, if you lived here maybe you could.

  • @ARlibertarian okay but does that mean all the nasty shit in the river was special effects in this video?

  • So we should do away with millions of jobs because of a hunch? Then people wouldn't have insurance and would have no way to get medical attention, guess they could always join the welfare crowd. its the political season and he sees an opportunity to get at the Koch brothers and republican party!

  • @ARlibertarian People have DIED because of this shit. I hope you never get the opportunity to express yourself again because clearly you don't deserve such a privilege spouting such nonsense.

  • @ARlibertarian

I know that you probably think that you're in the right, but you are a nasty human being and very ignorant. Shut the fuck up. You are a goddamn tool.

    /watch?v=CPmNqdRzMmk

  • #OCCUPYWALLSTREET #ARRESTCORPORATECRIMINALS

  • Please keep fighting to stop these crimes!

  • The exact same thing is being done to the people in Appalachia by the coal companies. Just another reason to make our voices heard on WallStreet and across this nation that the 99% is not dispensable and we will not sit by while we are being systematically wiped out.

  • Why does the EPA hate America?

  • Wow, I'm really surprised this video doesn't have more views. However, I am not surprised by what I just saw in this video...disgusted yes. This is how our wonderful country operates now and has operated for the last 200 years. People that have money can get ANYTHING. Everything has a price, even "owning" the lives of a small community. Are you proud to be an American?!!?

  • It really doesn't matter whether it was Georgia Pacific before or after the Koch Brothers. It really doesn't matter if some of you decide to play political points. What matters is the steam and sludge running in a stream! The bottom line is to find out exactly where it's coming from and clean it up!

  • The 1%, not facts or what's right. You feel the need to give these people something because life has been hard, but u can't take from billionaires just because they can afford it.

  • Nobody pays me, I'm just not blinded by a one sided video that slams the 1%. I don't believe in class warfare. It's so easy for people to say that the rich have no heart. I work in Crossett( not for GP) and make less than $40k a year. I'm not rich by any means but if you want to make a video with such strong accusations saying the Koch brothers are "murdering people" you need to have some kind of proof. They have none cause there is none. This video plays on your emotions and feelings toward

  • @ARlibertarian did you see that river? do you think this is the only case like this? what? rivers just become poisoned and poor neighborhoods just get cancer normally? you know how common that is?? Even larger than that, do you understand how long that river and land will take to fix itself? hundreds of years. that area is useless for life now

  • @jopaddy, yes I feel for people who are sick, I don't believe it's Koch's fault. EPA test the waters from this river every week and when it rains. Did the people in the video getting updrafts say they had never smoked? No. Is the cancer ratio higher in Crossett, yes but it's higher throughout southern Arkansas.

  • @ARlibertarian lol and who pays u ?

  • @ARlibertarian It's also high on the Gulf Coast....where there are also far too many chemical plants. If there is even a CHANCE (I believe it's higher than that, but just to take the other view) that this is killing people, shouldn't it be gotten rid of?

  • I'm tired of the finger pointing. Is it really necessary to make a video of yourself sneezing and coughing? I've seen you around town and you didn't have a tissue in your face. Open your eyes people. I'm not suing the sun every time I get burned or McDonalds for making me fat( oh wait someones already tried that).

  • @ARlibertarian Forget the political talking points for God sake, they are pointing at dead people and dying people, have you lost your conscience due to politics?

  • Koch industries bought out Georgia Pacific on Dec 23rd 2005. Almost all of these people died before 2005 so how exactly is Koch to blame? Gold-diggers. EPA does test the water that runs from the mill. I've lived in Crossett my entire life and I don't have a hand out to the Koch brothers. I've had family members die from cancer, it's horrible but who hasn't been affected by cancer? This is a sick world we live in when every time we turn around we have to blame others for life's misfortunes. I'

  • ?confused?

  • its like luthorcorp

  • Who is down to storm their mansions?

  • 10 minutes of vague accusations, repetition of the 'Koch brothers' chant. Very few details about the plant actually does, scientific research into it the pollution, who gave the authorization to dump that stuff into the river, where it all is etc.

And even if they're guilty of it all, why isn't the local council held responsible? They are the ones that approved all of this.

This whole thing is very poorly researched, and it's hard to conculde anything from it.

  • Lol, you obviously know nothing about the Koch brothers. Do some research please, thanks. There actually has been scientific research done about the plant and its dangers. Nobody is saying the local council shouldn't be held responsible. The video even talks about how they buy off politicians. Try again.

  • @Eseress, well then aren't the politicians the problem?

If they are selling your rights to the highest bidder - the councils need to be held to account.

  • @LibertyDownUnder ...Yes, but that's not what THIS particular video is about. It's not like the Koch brothers are not responsible for anything. Without them this wouldn't be happening.

  • @Eseress, it's still barking up the wrong tree, demonizing work, and being very vague about what the crime here actually is

  • @LibertyDownUnder pollution, pollution & pollution. How ideology can lead people to deny facts is a mystery to my. At some point, you have to stop and ask your self, is this right? look at the river for God's sake, the smoke from the river. Don't be a political ideologue, be a human being and look at this. Everyone dying of lung cancer? not just any cancer but lung cancer, same condition for all of them, come on, do the maths

  • @jopaddy81 "be a human being" ??

What, you think that the centrally controlled society that Greenwald is advocating is in some way more humane? You've got to be kidding me.

All those countries that are centrally planned end up in decay and corruption, and the last thing they worry about is the environment, and people's health.

Pollution is terrible, but it should be dealth with through the courts, and not by some massive Government takeover.

  • I don't know if I could vote for Ron Paul if he is funded by these guys.

  • They are murderers and should be treated as such - Particularly in Texas

  • They should push for a Murder charge ! If they are breaking the law this isnt right they could save the jobs and clean up the enviromental issuses look at all the money they are making ang giving away this is all about greed they dont care and need to be acountable , that is the right thing to do ! And I'm sorry it is Erin Brockovich she has a web site and a facebook page she knows about this stuff and how to handle it , look her up and see what she says !

  • get arine brochvich involved she did this once she could do it again

  • One more reason for me to go to Law School

  • A simple chemical analysis will tell them what's in that water.

  • Hello People I am so relieved to see that I am not the only one who is upset about all this. The people of America are suffering because all kinds of terrible attacks coming upon us. We need jobs, health care, homes have been taken and they want to cut the little safety nets that we have. We have lost our representation in congress because our politicians are being bribed by these type of greedy slimy pigs. I can't see our people hurting anymore. I am going to join the 99% in the streets.

  • You sure you don`t want to support the EPA??????? Throw the Koch Brother bastards in PRISON!!

  • what does it take putting all the dieing on their doorstep or sending them the hospital bills and funeral bills! AND MORGAGE PAYMENTS toss these greedy bastards in prison they r murdering us. these pigs must be made by law to clean up and then sit it out serving time in prison on death row. period

  • this is just wrong!! we need to shut em down boycott have the plant pay restitution and clean up this poison. these people do not have the money to afford the health problems and survive this toxic waste. make the law work get obama on it!!! do you have a petition??? i suffer adult onset asthma due to poor air quality. benzine is carcinogenic. have the ceo's clean up their mess with out hazmat equipment!!

  • The Koch brothers should live near their own factories.

  • Koch bros., their company executives and all their ilk should be tarred and feathered & paraded for all the world to mock. they are the scum of the earth! they are at the apex of the pyramid of unwiped assholes of america!!!!!

  • Down stream pollution and reclamation is part of the polluters bottom line - they are responsible for the pollution their business creates - not accounting for that cost is fraud, and criminal.
