2. Slovenia actually has to borrow money and make budget cuts in order to lend Greece money? How crazy is this? If Greece needs more money or if Spain needs a bailout there won´t be any money left. The result is that the ECB will have to print euros and inflation will go wild! Likely the ECB will now in any case start to buy sovereign bonds to keep the market from collapsing (not that they should). Again this will result in inflation.

1. The ECB relaxed its REPO lending standards on Monday to allow Greek government backed "junk bonds" to be pledged as collateral! Why? Because otherwise the Greek banking system would collapse and German and French banks would need bailout.
Sorry I have to disagree with this one. As long as the US has the greatest military power and the biggest economy in the World; oil is settled by US $ and there is simply no better alternative to replace it, the US can still enjoy a free pass to print more money. That's the difference between the US and the Greece. Of course it won't go on forever, sooner or later China may catch up, but it won't happen in the near future.

As long as the US has the greatest military power and the biggest economy in the World; oil is settled by US $ and there is simply no better alternative to replace it, the US can still enjoy a free pass to print more money. That's the difference between the US and the Greece. Of course it won't go on forever, sooner or later China may catch up, but it won't happen in the near future.
