The L300 was more or less like an utilitarian dinosaur. I think the reason why they never got a new-gen facelift is because of the rugged, reliable design. And the Versa Van also gained infamy because it was mostly used in films as the preferred getaway/kidnapping vehicle.

@thesilverhorizon - Yep. The only other thing that's new on the "new" L3 was the redesigned grille, but nothing else. Only Hyundai's Porter, a rebadged L300, received some facial treatment.

@weldingmachine1959: hyundai bought the license and design of the pajero from mitsubishi. so, they did not technically copy the design. they actually reproduced the 1st gen pajero and re-badged it with as the hyundai galloper. its just like opel kadette and isuzu gemini, kia pride and ford fiesta, mitsubishi lancer and proton wira. etc.

Kung ang Pajero, Escalade of the Philippines, ang Toyota Fortuner naman ang Range Rover of the Philippines.

Marami na akong mga Mayaman at mga Politician na nakitang naka sakay sa Fortuner. Ang iba may mga DUBS pa at customized ang grill.

Back then Pajero was the king. Si Erap nga, Mayroon nito.

Ngayon Toyota Fortuner na kung hindi Adventure, Hilux o Nissan Navarra! Mga kurakot pero either mahirap o walang taste. Eh halos mga pulitiko sa ibang bansa Mercedes Benz, BMW o Audi ang sasakyan.

It's kinda funny how cars like the Fortuner is considered as a Luxury car even though it doesn' t have the build quality and materials used.

It's a utilitarian and cheap so it's easy to destroy and can haul a lot of things and people. It's like the equivalent of Europe's Ford Transit used by robbers.

Ngayon nga kung titignan mo, halos wala nang ginagamit na mga sasakyan sa action movies dahil mahal at sayang kung sirain. Dito pumapasok ang pangit na special effects.

Buti pa nga ang movies ni FPJ noon, talagang ginagastosan.

Philippine action movies aren't what they used to be.
