This is true if you BABY these cars they tend to last longer, But if your not, expcet problems. And finding someone who knows what they doing to work on it, the ridiculous price for parts and labor. Its just not worth it for the majority of the public. Some of their motors are reliable but the rest of the car falls apart around it. DOnt get me wrong Audis are great, but far from perfect.

I agree the girl was the most interesting thing. The Audi seems like it has improved but it still looks like an overweight bloated fish with LED headlamps. It looks nowhere near as good as the new 5-Series. It's a bloated front-wheel drive based Volkswagen. Nice interior though!

Just bought the '12 A6 in Havanna Black... amazing handling, power, style and design. Very pleased with the ride vs. BMW, a close comparison, but this car in black with chrome trim, 315 HP engine with Prestige package.... is much more of a car than the 5 series.

I've driven the 2004 A8 with a 4.2 litre diesel engine and thats when I fell inlove with Audi.Driving an enormous luxury limo that with all the luxury has beast acceleration is priceless. This right here is a masterpiece of art.

Eh, it's a nice car, but just from the aesthetics perspective, that grille doesn't look like it belongs on that body (smooth, simple body style vs very jagged-looking futuristic front). The wood trim looks kind of ugly with that horizontal pattern. Too many displays (on instrument panel, pop-up nav, and HUD), I prefer one informative screen. Too much pop-up stuff (speakers, nav) that can break.

I drive a 335i, which has its faults but I'm not seeing anything that makes me want to switch...

I have driven BMW 530d X-drive 2011 year of production for 800 km on the Bavarian and Austrian roads. And I can say that it's a beautiful car. The A6 has only innovative hand-writing-recognizing touch screen navi system, when BMW has a "standard" navi system. But the main thing is that xdrive is much better than quattro. And BMW is more reliable!

@kosovari123 I don't think you know your cars very well. You seem to have forgotten the years prior to 2012 for Audi's designs. I would recommend viewing the '05 A6, the '06 A6, the '07 A6, and everything up to 2012. You might then notice that Audi had their grill/headlight designs first, and that everything has been building off of those. The LED's are the only significant difference in the newest models. Even suggesting a mitsubishi is on the same playing field as an Audi is foolish.

I love how everyone ripped on the iDrive then copied it... I have the 2nd Gen (still 1 button) in an E60 550 and think it's the cleanest looking system on the market. Response is slow, but the new version fixed it. Only have a couple buttons on the dash which are the ones you need. So clean.

The exteriors from Audi are nice, very classy and modest. But it's noting with a wow factor. The interior on the other hand has exactly that! It's a perfect combination of little gadgets and classy stylish materials. That how I like big cars; not screaming it on the exterior but be like a king in the interior! Audi is losing a lot of clients @ this point because of the interior. Audi use to have a very distinct interior material collections and also the lines and seat positioning. Since getting compared too much to BMW and Mercedes, this has made them lose all of the initial features.

Versus with my BMW it's always some type of sensor going on off I have the HUD(Heads Up Display) and I'm always getting some type of msg I bought the car with only 20k miles and now I have 52k miles and yet I'm always having problems. After this review I want a 2012 Audi but unfortunately I will have to wait or sell my BMW to get out of my loan

The debate about which car is better, A6 or 5 series is a bit silly. It's like trying to decide which icecream is better-vanilla or chocolate...you really can do no wrong with either car. There are both magnificent machines and it's only a matter of personal taste and little details that decide which you would rather have of the two.
