Last time I heard someone refer to someone else as a "Ken Doll", a friend of mine called his boyfriend that in order to brag about said bf's good looks. Put my vote in the "compliment" column.
Initially, I thought you being called a "Ken Doll" meant someone who is Drop Dead Gorgeous? But after reading a few of the responses, I tend to think the insignificant shit that called you that, was insulting.
Was it "Trailer Trash Barbie", who called you that?
I've honestly never heard of being called a Ken Doll or what it technically means. Evidently by the related videos it's nothing new but Im not sure what to think either. Id honestly just shrug it off and look at them funny.
Maybe "Ken" is seen as a version of the "ideal" man - no flaws? However, if someone said that to me, I think I would automatically think of it as some sort of negative comment - fake/plastic/too good to be true??
