I think the people saying you need to play some Cricket before you make a judgement call, don't play any cricket. Because I spend 5 days a week playing and practicing Cricket at club and casual level, where fielders have to be honest... and you really do know when you've taken a catch cleanly. the feeling of having your hands under a ball as it tries to touch down is completely different from stopping a cricket ball that's moving on the up after a bounce.

I do not agree with the uploader! There is the second replay in which the ball clearly came in contact with the ground... If you freeeze the video at 0:24, you can see the ball on the ground... at around 0:15 too, we can see that the ball has bounced a little... However, mistakes happen with such close calls & we have to take them as sportingly as we take good decisions!

this is going to sound strange, but in the slo mo, the commentator says there is not a frame where the ball touches the ground, but between the frame before he catches it and the frame after, the ball jumps into his hands. basically, when the ball is about to hit the ground, it is just touching his fingertips, but in the next scene it is nestled in the palms of his hands, meaning it must have jumped into his hands. not out. :D
