This is a wonderful musical depiction of a sunrise. I can picture the first tinges of light on the eastern horizon and then the glorious subtle colours of the sunrise. The music puts me in mind of marvellous Mahler. I get the feeling that this is only the start of a much larger work. I can imagine it going on to describe a hot afternoon, a cool sunset, and finally, moonrise at midnight...a symphonic poem.

For those of us lucky ones who have actually watched the sunrise, we will agree that you have really captured the tempo perfectly. A sunrise is a very slow gentle transformation. Not a piece of firework going off as some may expect.
