that's a gt, and from the looks of it, 89, but not sure when in 88/89 they started the air bag and emblem on the dash.

i have one, and the light either would be low fuel, low oil, or low windshield wiper fluid. there all so close together

The gt/cobra is the exact same thing as a gt. but in Canada they were marketed as the cobra gt.

93 they made a cobra mustang with 225 hp rather then 235

and you could get your car to get to 235 hp with a change of mufflers.

it had a differnt intake, a slightly bigger cam, and better injectors. and the cobra was infact released in 1993, what i was saying is, the "GT/Cobra" was just a normal gt that was called "GT Cobra" in canada.

INcorrect - I've had a 1989 GT Cobra since 1990 and it has that exact interior, including the steering wheel...

the steering wheel indicates it is no newer than a 1989 the 1990 mustangs + had an air bag steering wheel and a 140 mph speedo. the rpm's looked like he might have been donig 140 mph in 4th gear. the rpm's in 5th is aprox 2000 @ 80 mph his tack was showing much more than 4000 which is impossible for a stock 5.0 with stock gearing.

Yeah for some reason Ford of Canada decided to add the Cobra name to regular GTs. What sucks about it is when people think they really have Cobras and think they're worth more.

just to make sure is that the 140mph speedometer or the 85mph one? still nice car, even with the 5.0 engines i've found some mustangs have the 85mph speedometer thats why i asked.

All 5.0 mustangs are listed as a cobra 5.0 with the DMV, so some people claim they have a cobra, but not till 93 did they make the official cobra mustang.

Correction. I said all the 5.0 are registered as cobras, its all the 5.0 gt's not the 5.0 lx. If you do a car fax check on any gt model it will say its a cobra
