  • this guy is great, just bought his book. But for heavens sake, unbutton the lowest button on your suit ^^

  • did he show discomfort (touching nose) when talking about: "the brain getting by fine without transmitting NV messages" @1:51, or was he giving an example?

  • I read his book. Very, good and very professional. He also bears an uncanny resemblance to my brother....

  • if a woman's feet are pointed at you...you're halfway there.

  • @teameymelli1 if a woman's legs are parted, you're there

  • @nwowarrior I think you'll find to infer a design in the way which navarro does, does not mean that it comes down to whether we evolved or were created by God. What he instead is trying to suggest that NATURE has given us the base for which body language readers go off, which is the limbic system in the brain. Our brain has shown signs of being DEVELOPED over THOUSANDS of years to which Navarro is refering to.

  • @nwowarrior so because someone says so it is true... navarro is not an expert in genetics he is an expert in communication

  • i know of no hard scientific evidence concerning the planet even existing over 8 thousand years. Even neo-darwinists are jumping ship

While some of his material is dead on. But keep in mine, body cues (body language) must be taken in context. A person leaning forward in his chair MAY NOT necessarily be in a hurry to leave. He/She might be very interested in what is being said.

  • @scottybroker In the books i've read by Navarro, after every cue demonstrated he either states where the information has been gathered from or to remember the context and use it as a tell, not baseline fact as to what the person you are observing is thinking. As to the relevance about no scientific fact about the planet existing over 8 thousand years and neo-darwinists, can i ask where this fact has been formulated from? and to scientific evidence; carbon dating, fossils, ice samples and more :)

  • Meet Asian women #lushfmlk.info#

  • I ask the question which language is 100 thousand years old??? I have never heard of such a thing please tell me.

  • @zionchild83 He never said anything about there being a language that is 100 thousand years old, which there is obviously not. He was talking about the beginning of verbal communication, which began 100 thousand years ago at the very least.

  • isn't this all obvious?

    or am i just perceptive?

  • @TheyBastardisedJesus Prob a bit of both

  • Pretty good, but when trying to show pictures of what somethig should look like, keep in mind to not over exagerate it.

You should show pictures of what it's most likely going to look like so we know a more destinct line between comfort and discomfort for this instance.

Exagerating it makes it more difficult to tell where that line is.

Other that, I liked your vid and thanks for posting it :)

  • @Cup353 Joe Navarro actually says this in his lectures and books, a lot of nonverbals are subtle and sometimes only take half a second - the pictures that I see in this video are not really exaggerated as you say, even they were, they show what to look for. You may wanna read his book "What Every BODY is Saying"

  • I read his book for psychology class and it was very good!

  • After watching a few videos I ordered his book. It is better than I expected! Definite thumbs up!

  • Simply LOVE it. Thank you for posting your series in on u-tube, and congratulation on your fantastic project. It is easy to listen and follow=lectures methodically correctly built, very engaging, and, the most complete info in order to get a very good understanding in a psychological profile of a human being.

  • the first 10 secs, lol!

  • sometimes i like to rub my neck just cos i like the feel of my neck muscles when i turn my head... not because im uncomfortable or stressed or anything...so i guess people can do this stuff and not actually be uncomfortable

  • Yeah, he says in the book you have to be very careful applying this stuff, and put it in context. I think he would call what you do a kind of preening, drawing attention to your neck muscles, and it would show confidence.

  • very useful, although i dont like this information being common knowledge, we surely shouldn't instinctivey know what every facial expression and body movement means, it brings too much attention to those who may display discomfort more than the average person. how do you think a person with low self esteem or confidence would feel if he/she thought everyone knew exactly how they felt at any given moment just by them shuffling their feet or massaging their neck? they would be a nervous wreck!!!

  • well all information needs to be used well. It does seem like someone could easily take advantage of this information, but it's also useful for others as well.

  • interesting...

  • Interesting.

  • I bought his book. Do you think he's theories are true?

  • Yes, they are.

    These are facts, not theories.

  • I'm sorry do disapoint you, but I'm really happy after reading the book :)

  • This is great!

  • This is great!

  • very wise and informative

  • thanks joe
