  • 1.34 page turner career destroyed

  • What year was this?

  • bra kyckling chung

  • your playing bach not schubert...

  • OMG I almost cried as soon as it started.

  • That does not sound like Bach, sounds like Vivaldi, too much vibrato, not used in Bach's work, very poor interpretation

  • @Jimmyocaca do it better !

  • @Jimmyocaca Totally agree.

  • @josemariomonzon Se nota que conoces bien a JS Bach, gracias, esto es solo un lloriqueo al estilo italiano, sin la seriedad y profundidad que JS Bach transmite.

  • @Jimmyocaca Yeah, she only teaches at Julliard, I'm sure she needs to get advice on her vibrato style from youtube posters.

  • Impressiv!

  • One of the best vibrato Interpretation 10 points

  • Fantastically outdated. Long live the next generation of Baroque performers.

  • so heavenly music

  • She plays a Stradivarius and plays it well.

Currently, she is on the faculty at Julliard.

  • This is such a beautiful piece! Love her vibrato! One question tho, why is there a 3rd woman on-stage? Someone explain to me, what is the purpose of her? You can see her at the very beginning and at 2:40.

  • the third woman on stage is the page turner for the dude on the piano

  • turn the pages for the pianist

  • page turner for the harpsichordist perhaps?

  • she turns the pages for the man behind the Cembalo ;)

  • i play this song on my violin and it really helps to hear the music that u are playing wen u are stuck on a part

  • christian europe produced such magnificent music, too bad it go bombed

  • This piece is just so gorgeous. She makes it sound so easy. I've been learning this song, and its pretty hard.

  • Beautiful!

  • Absolutely divine music and fine performance. Bravissimo!

  • she is beautiful!!!

  • she is and her play I lovew

  • beautiful!!!

  • I love this piece

  • Bach had a universal melodical gift which sounds more modern today than the so-called contemporary music...in fact it's timeless! What greatness...

  • so true

  • Her Performance of Strauss and Respighi Sonats ist the best!!!

  • Amen!

  • Do not forget the role the accoustic of the building plays, It would sound far less stunning in your kitchen, that said, I think she is fabulous, Bach is fabulous.

  • Beautiful! I call this kind of women "little godess". And she's a phantastical musician too!

  • I want that Guarneri! ;)

  • you can get one for 2 million bucks. LOL

  • Where can I get one of those Guarneri's these days? or any violin "that good"?

  • My breath is lofted with notes that sing of a place nonexistent. -Oh

  • Wow, i really wish i never gave up on the violin now. Started playing it for a few years then never bothered. :S:S. !! Does anyone know rouhgly how much it costs to restring a violin? A string is broken on one of mine. I want to get back to playing it. Please reply thanks.

  • its cheap about 15 dollar lol

  • hi! I'm me not sure... but, it depends in the type of violin that you have, or the type of strings you use...

But it should't cost to must. If you have any questions, please e-mail me, or leave a comemment, ok?

  • It's amazing. !

  • I like the girl who turning the page for harpsichord better.

  • Her phrasing is quite beautiful -but the vibrato here

spoils what could have been a lovely performance . I have

heard her in other works and she is among the very best.

    A real treasure of a violinist .

  • lol yeah so much vibrato >< it was still good tho =]]

  • She's excellent as always, but the sound of her modern instrument completely overwhelms the Baroque replica harpsichord. It would have been better perhaps to use a modern harpsichord something akin to Igor Kipnis' "Big Red" in order to get a better match. It is important to remember when playing Baroque music that the violin is a co-equal with the keyboard, not a solo instrument accompanied by the keyboard as is the case from the romantic period on.

  • I agree completely. Even nicer would be a good piano, but that wouldn't be politically correct. Since they didn't have anything better than tinkly harpsichords when it was written we are still supposed to use those. Actually these sonatas could be played by a string, wind, or mixed trio and would sound great. (The keyboard part is two distinct lines.)

  • the melody sounds like ebarme dich aria from matheus passion

  • yeah, it does.

  • i love how she just keeps that violin flat, ugh...

  • What a beautifull women

  • me too:Djerrykim nlmşyanee....

  • That's amazing...I wish I could play that well.
