hey groutaone nice videos and nice bike. just a question, how can you have your bike always that clean? looks like it's new from the producer (sorry my english i'm spanish)
real nice bike. Is that a 2stroke 500cc? cause that'd be insane...... It sounds like a 2 stroke to me at least. But you don't see a lot of 2 strokes anymore. Only the 125's and 250's usually Yamaha too. Gotta love Honda reliability though. Never had one not start - even the the carb clogged to crap.
@groutaone Wow. How's the power? I've never ridden a 2stroke 500cc. Didn't know they made them that big except for snow-mobiles. That's got to be awesome. When it hits the power is it like getting smacked in the face? hahaah. Closest thing I could compare that to is a 650cc 4-stroke street bike. Some of these machines can bang through the gears almost faster than you can shift.
@lifeisgood070 The big two strokes seem to have good power on the bottom, not as good as a four stroke but fairly good so when the big power comes its not so much of a toggle switch power hit, its kinda like power everywhere
I stumbled across you with the boiler video and I see we have a bit in common, I used to have a cr 125 that I did some ice racing with, If i remember right I went 3 teeth bigger in front and custom 12 tooth less in the rear... lost the power but top end was about 90mph and less power was better on ice , what gears you run??
@pumper1970 Thanks for the fast answer. Just a couple of minutes ago i came from the local mc shop and saw those screws with a sign beside them saying that theyre not suitable for bare ground.
@lostinthegame77 I have had the same plug in my bike for two years and it may go another year or two, I mix 32-1 and I think the plug lasts because I like to make the engine scream for mercy heh heh
I've got a 96 kx 500 with approx 800 screws in the tires. Best traction of any surface is studded tires on ice. Far too much fun on a lemans style track with a bunch of good riders. I stay away from ovals, boring after one lap.
@groutaone They loose some of their edge just by rolling the bike on the garage floor. I keep pieces of carpet on hand for that, even for the loading ramps on the truck. When i feel the front end getting sloppy, its time to look at the studs.
@groutaone I also put a lot of screws in each knob, min 3-4 in the centers, 2-3 on sidewall.Kenda 257 tire on back, kenda millville sticky on front, most tires self destruct due to tire hardness, these are the only common tires that wil last.
@TheTuntso the screw are not good u nned to get bold thet get secured on the inside of the tire with long spikes then u talking heese are to weak and small
When i stud my bike tires I dip each screw in epoxy and then screw it into the tire, I never lost 1 screw in 4 months of winter riding, you will wear the screw right out before they fall out,
I did this in 06 and i raced alot of sleds... They ALL lost. I had 900+ studs in a 250F.Hope u had as much fun as i did. who said bikes cant run in winter.
TIP. line stud cuts on aposing axis, took me 16hrs to make my tires.after studing line up screw cuts with a flat nuby and then go race ur buddy.LOLOLOLOL 1 bar across next bar up and down. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
@rob37greenbike Those guys on sleds must have thought they could beat you easy till you showed em how its done ha ha, hope to get some grip this winter for mine
Fun video ! , But a tip for you, when you screw them in . Put some Ultra strong glue to the screws befoire putting them in so they don't come out :P Its kinda painfull when you are out riding on the ice and the screws are flying all over the place !
@Beerse696 Only after I install the screws, then there are tiny holes in the knobs after I remove the screws for dirt riding, tires still work fine however
@XWumpaXXFlicKX The tire is still good, just remove the screws for dirt, these Kold Kutter screws are available in different lengths for different size knobs
Nice video, thats a pretty inexpensive way to be able to ride during winter. Love the bike by the way man.
