When it shall be said in any country in the world, my poor are happy; neither ignorance nor distress is to be found among them; my jails are empty of prisoners, my streets of beggars; the aged are not in want, the taxes are not oppressive; the rational world is my friend, because I am the friend of its happiness: when these things can be said, then may that country boast its constitution and its government. Thomas Paine, Age of Reason
I guess Obama was right about people clinging to their guns or maybe Rees' guns were clinging to him. You know Rees, I hear the folks over at Snuggle are developing a dryer sheet for that.
These people at the "tea parties" and town hall meetings have never stopped fighting to uphold slavery in this country. 140 years after they lost the Civil War, they want us all to be slaves for the corporations like the health insurers. "Don't tread on me?" Vote Rees and you'll see just how hard corporations can tread.
You people see yourselves as the descendants of the pioneers and frontiersmen. Well, they only HELPED to build this country; the African slaves did the heavy lifting. Guess who cleared the land of the Native Americans so you could do your thing? The federal government. You and they attended taxpayer-financed schools. Did the government not have anything to do with the railroads? Turn off Fox News and pick up a book other than the Bible.
I'm re-posting this comment, because I'm sure Phil will sober up soon and realize how much this comment hurts his cause. At that point, he will attempt to remove it. In the meantime, the patriots who watch this video will be able to see what this man really thinks of people who believe in liberty:

That's right, people: Phil honestly believes that if you're upset about government wanting complete control over your health and physical well-being, you are actually in SUPPORT of slavery. No oxymoron there, huh?
By the way, Phil, I would much rather let an insurance company control my family's access to health care than our bloated Imperial Federal government.
Why? Very simple choice: It's a hell of a lot easier to switch insurance companies than it is to switch governments. Logic works, Phil. I recommend trying it sometime.
Rees thinks 37th place in health care is something to be proud of. Hey, it's #1 right after 36! I know you're a novice here Rees so a little lesson on how the current system works: Private insurance companies try to maximize profits by paying out as little as possible when people are sick. Did you follow any of that? The Gov'ment ain't gonna take away your doctors! Try calming down and doing a little research.
Here's something you can sip on at the next tea party: taxing employer-provided health benefits to the wealthiest Americans, according to the Congressional Budget Office, could generate as much as $500 billion a year.
This is probably more "unproductive" nonsense, but I thought under the new tax plan that those making more than $250,000 were gonna pay more and those making less would pay less. If my taxes are going to pay for a better health care situation in this country, well, that'd be okay by me.
I have removed several rather unproductive comments.

Sorry, I m guilty. I am pretty passionate about politics, the tea parties and what they stood for and when I see people criticize them I get offended. Plus another person attacked me so I attacked back. You are right....we need to rise above the people who attack.
Someone commented on this video in an attempt to promote videos from a former Presidential candidate. That comment has been removed, due to the use of a term I find particularly offensive. Commenter, you do your cause no favors with this kind of intolerant rhetoric. Please begin practicing a bit of restraint and common decency. I don't spam your channel.

Keep digging, Phil. I'm just going to let you. All of these comments tell us a lot more about you than me.
