Dudes I think the best music for this bird would be some kind of metal because of his excellent headbanging at 4:35 (very lovely^^) and some kind of house^^
This show is my personal favorite! I still grabbed onto what was implied even though I couldn't understand Japanese. It was VERY enjoyable for us to film! If I'm not mistaken, the priest is actually one of Japan's most famous and loved comedians.

The last comment said that " He can even read atmosphere (the last cd is Japanese TV personality George Tokoro's "best" album which is not a smash hit at all, but snowball give him a mercy)"
I think Snowball did not respond to the first Japanese songs because they were played from a laptop, which probably did not provide much bass nor volume. When you played music on your desktop PC, which had proper audio capabilities, we saw that he was able to more easily capture the beat and respond. Somewhere in the clip, the announcer quipped that Snowball did not respond at all to Japanese songs. But I don't think the songs being from Japan mattered at all. It was just the audio quality.
Extensive research has been done on parrots regarding their hearing capabilities. They cannot hear the low tones, nor can they hear the very high tones. We experimented with Snowball last year with playing the same song through various different sound systems including a very high quality Bose sound system. He responded the same no matter what the quality of the sound system. He is listening to the midrange.

I think that many birds in the parrot family like to dance. I used to have a pair of Sun Conures who danced. You can see 4 of them sitting on the Japanese bird man at the aviary. The Sun Conures are the ones with the pretty yellow and orange colors. Mine used to dance to just about anything, but the female especially liked the whistling theme from the Disney animated feature, Robin Hood.
... considering they went to her house, I'm assuming they asked her permission, and worked out whatever kind of deal worked out for the both of them. Why would she sue them just for filming her bird and giving her a CD, which she obviously is allowing?
Im happy that i understand some japanese, I love it when they get serious and exited, like @3.17 when he said nanto sugoi homono Is like nanto=WHAT IN SHOCK sugoi=Great and then he said he really hm maybe he meant he really dances

hey irene how u know what the japanise lady is saying cuz all i heard was her speaking in her language and not english same with that other vid with the teenage boy
I do not understand Japanese either. But we do have many fans from Japan and they do understand what is being said. Snowball will be on his fifth Japanese TV show in a few weeks. Japan loves Snowball.
Oh my, you do not know about Beat Takeshi? "That guy at 3:32" is a legend of filmmaking. He started as a comedian, made some movies, and now hosts his own variety shows. I'd say he is one of the most famous people in Japan and well known to anyone studying film or anything Japanese. It must have been quite the honor to be on his show. Well done, Snowball!
We really enjoyed this show immensely and were very grateful that Snowball was asked to be on this show. All of our friends and family said that this was one of their favorites!
Snowball is a sanctuary bird at Bird Lovers Only Rescue Service, Inc. Please visit our main web site where you can receive Snowball DVDs, shirts, and other items for your donations. Thank you so very much for your support!!!
How funny, the dramatic parts when he began to dance to the songs playing xD Congrats, hopefully these types of things will get more of your birds adopted =D
Thanks for noticing! I didn't realize that it was a tune by Kraftwerk...I ended up watching the video again to see what part you were talking about. It seemed to have the right rhythm to go along with Snowball's dancing. Snowball continues to appear on tv shows and news programs around the world. He's quite the celebrity!
thanks Irene for snowball.....it makes us all smile....snowball is amazing...my 5yr old daughter cant get enough of him...i hope u get all the money u need for ur project..with love from Africa.
With ALL due respect Irena, is there any way to go to your site here with all the videos and not have to have this Japanese video open & start playing without choosing to? It seems to always come on whether I want to see it or not.
Wow thanks so much for posting this vid, I live in Japan but I missed this show so it's great being able to watch it! Snowball rocks as always! 8) Love him!!
Japanese TV is a bit silly though isn't it? Can't believe 2 out of 5 people thought Snowball was a fake!
Hey Irena glad to see you guys are making the rounds about the world!! We missed you on our migration over to WI maybe we can stop in on our way back to NJ...take care...
This film crew played several songs for Snowball and he only danced to one of the songs that they brought. He didn't like the other songs and just looked at us all like "You must be kidding me."
The first bird that is shown once the film crew enters the rescue is Mookie, the moluccan cockatoo that is disabled in both legs. She's the one babbling and laughing on the Snowball/Ringo Starr video.
HEY, so COOL to see this Irena!!! I sure wish there was a translation. I remember you telling some of the premise of the show. Will Sunday's filming be different when they come again? Good thing Snowball's dancing is the same in ANY language :-0
The Japanese TV show that will be filming this Sunday is a different show than the one here. I was told that a celebrity was going to be coming along, but they didn't say who. I'm hoping it's Elvis.
i wish there was subs lol

Snowball is global. Do you realize that if everyone who watched these videos would send in just one dollar ($1.00)
you could have built the bird habitat. One dollar isn't much but combined with everyone else it could accomplish so much.
