I would suggest next time you have documented evidence/copies of your case and copies of the laws you are arresting under and independant witnesses who have no part in the arrest and obviously film it!

The police are pulling a fast one when they said you have to report to them before making a citizens arrest.
According to s.24(4) of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE), any person can arrest another person in the following circumstances: You know that an arrestable offence has (definitely) been committed, and have reasonable grounds to suspect that he/she committed it. You have reasonable grounds for suspecting that, at this moment, he/she is committing an arrestable offence.

Respect, and your right it is every citizens duty to get informed and take action, there is enough wrongs going on here and abroad that some of our big guys have their hands in. So many citizens are either badly informed or feel they can make no difference. In a free and democratic society this shouldnt be the way, but then were not in that society are we? Citizens arrest?
