The first time I saw Stevie Nicks I must have been about 6 and from that time to probably sometime in the early 90s I wanted to look exactly like her. She is gorgeous.
Few bands ever owned a stage like FM. They were musically talented but beyond that they had unconmmonly good show business skill. When her contemporaries were performing in jeans and logo t-shirts and range boots Stevie was ultra feminine wearing long skirts, silk, lace, scarves, capes etc. And the guys wore attractive outfits also shirts with vests and period hats etc. Hence they all look good in these clips today. I wonder who among them had all the style ideas?
That was just amazing.....hard to believe I was only 6 years old but man it was great growing up watching these performances. They just take me way back!
Stevie Nicks got in the band because they wanted her boyfriend and he said he'd only join if she could also be in the band... should'a been the other way around!
Man....you can't get better than this! This is the band at their absolute rise to superstardom, and this is the Stevie every stoner in America fell in love with!
Killer effort!!! Fleetwood Mac was tiiiiight and hungry at this stage...the effort they put forth is proof plenty. And phew!!!! Stevie what a babe!!! I love you!!
This is what you get with a group of talented song writters, musicians, and performers together on stage - Great Music. Stevie closed that like she had something to prove !
Buckingham is widely overlooked as a great guitarist by the masses of rock fans, but not by other musicians (and Mac fans). If you don't believe me ask someone who is very good at playing electric guitar and get their opinion. I'm soo glad he and Stevie joined the group. It was the perfect compliment to the original Mac.
Stevie doesn't seem to do a lot of screaming, but she has a damn good screaming voice. These Midnight Special tapes are a gold mine for great quality videos.
Stevie Nicks is awesome.. Absolutely remarkable level of spirit and energy produced on stage. Every time I watch this video, I am totally captured by her performance. I especially appreciate Christine McVie, Lindsey and others. However, Stevie Nicks is the show.. she rocks then and still to this day!
What a great, great band this was. I am still pounding out the beat with Lindsay on the guitar. Still, it's hard to stop wondering how much Dippity Do it took to make Stevie Nicks' hair look l ike that.
damn, she's good, but you can hear her struggle on the higher notes if you listen to the rosebud version. Shame her vocal chords got so bad, but she can still sing really well ^^
Funny that they are referred to as one of the class groups of all time already in 1976, especially when this lineup were only together for a few months at this time. Great track.
stevie nicks is still a babe

@matsellah ...Totally agree...Lindsey Buckingham's solo at 3:16 is brilliant;
even more amazing when you realize he's not using a pick just his
fingers. The recorded version pales in comparison

@thejfiumano Think it was Helen Reddy, a Canadian.

@thejfiumano That's Helen Reddy, famous singer of "I Am Woman." She's Australian, actually.

Love it! Was Helen Reddy really messed up or what--wild eyes and song "dey booed"?! Fleetwood Mac and Eagles reigned that year and several more.
