@reptilman94 If your have enough heat for him to stay warm you don't need to worry, but some species will stop eating no matter how warm their tank is. If this happens you should drop the temperature depending on the species I am not familiar with these species so you may not need to.

This is not encouraged, but sometimes is unavoidable. Always have its enclosure set at the proper temperatures. During the day, temperatures should range from 85-90 F (29-32 C). At night, it can drop to 75-85 F (24-29 C). -That's what I found on Google. Always do research before buying.

My father has one of these. He lets him roam the house freely. He'll usually hide under the bed by the heater unless he gets hungry, then he'll walk to the fridge and stare at it. They are relatively smart animals. I'm not sure what the difference between ours is, but our tegu's fat storage in it's cheeks are massive, and yours seems alot more quick and active. Mine moves very slowly even when eating. Area difference maybe?

As with any animal/pet, you must handle them daily. I handle my bearded dragons everyday, ever since their birth, and they have never bitten me. However, a friend of mine only handled his lizard when he was feeding it, so whenever he tried handling her, she bit him thinking he was her food.
