This is the very first live band I ever heard back in I think 1948. It was a Mack's Rehersal rooms. Went to a Graeme Bell concert but could not get in, so we took a chance and went to this club, and heard this band. John Haim died soon after this. The band alternated with the first Lytellton band. Lytellton had only just formed his first band, and played here before the original London Jazz Club was opened at 100 Oxford Street.
