hey guys i need help im trying to decide if i should get the HTC tilt 2 or this HTC g1, they are both roughly the same price, tilt 2 is windows 6.5 vs android, they both have gps but im not sure which one is free, if someone can help me figure out what to get that would be greatly appreciated

i have had this phone for around 5 months now, its great! way better than any crackberrys i have had or iphone. main thing i didnt like is the headphone jack and the SD memory, good idea to pick up a 16gig card

There is more than one way to switch to Landscape view. Its in the settings which is initially disabled and screen will adjust as you rotate your phone sideways or straight.

Unlike the iPhone. You don't need a data plan. And to clarify when you buy the iPhone from AT&T, they require you to also purchase a data plan. These other phones tend not to.

you do not NEED a data plan for this phone, i asked a rogers tech person. I am getting this phone and unlocking it to use on bell. You can use wifi to do both of those tasks. maybe not with the mail app itself, but with the wifi browser forsure.

Im not sdm251 but i would definitely say get this. the OS on the blackberry gets stale really fast this device is for vibrant and fun. it has a greater selection apps. hope that helps

The screen is laminated scratch resistant glass, so it's not a problem. You can also keep the included clingy screen protector or get your own. I've been using the same invisible screen protector for the past couple of months without any problems - here's a "shoot-out" I did of almost every major G1 screen protector.

If you mean the browser windows, yes, you can add more or remove them via the windows screen under the browser menu - you can leave the ones you want open, and close those that you don't.

If you are referring to the three home pages (left, center, and right), those aren't a part of the web browser (but would be a fantastic patch idea).

Valid point, thanks for the constructive criticism. Traditionally in English, "Thee" should be used before a vowel or for emphasis, and "Thuh" for all else. Most people tend to ignore this and choose one or the other - out here, everyone seems to say "Thee".

ive heard bb keyboard is better, but g1's plan is 20 bucks a month cheaper please give me valid reasons why one is better than the other

another thing i heard is bb battery lasts much longer than g1 is this true

Tough decision - it comes down to who you are and what you want to do. The Bold's keyboard is slightly better, but the G1 has a touch screen. Battery life is barely better. If you need corporate email or want something simple, get the BB, if you want the best web browsing experience around, good YouTube streaming, and an overall fantastic new device, get the G1. The G1 has potential, the BB is more complete. Both are great choices. Doesn't T-Mobile only have the 8900, which has no high-speed 3G?
