  • Great song, Thanx for the posting

  • A beautiful message, from beautiful women! :)

  • My Favourites all time!! aswell as US

  • I love this song, It makes me feel hopeful. Don't we have Freedom of Speech in America? Just because she is a celebrity she got death threats for speaking her mind. I admire their courage...

  • the dixie chicks just used their freedom of speech which we are allowed to do in america so it was wrong for everyone to turn against them they were mad about the war the dixie chicks could still be singing today if everyone wouldnt have turned against them some of these posts are stupid wats the point in fighting over who likes bush and who dosent hes not our president anymore and its time to move forward

  • @hannahzep Yes, we are allowed to do it in America, they, however, were not on our own soil. To me that was the only thing that was wrong, not that they said it, but where they said it. If in America, say anything you wish, Our men and women across the seas provide that for us HERE, not there.

  • I didn't call my opinion "pathetic emotional drivel", you did.

I will keep my attitude, thanks.

I don't care if the world needs more of me or not.

But I surely don't need anymore of you. It seems you are the only with emotional issues. I keep bumping into this video because I like the song and the group. I don't know about you. Its long time now. Are you mental or something?

  • I'm a Marine. I defend the U.S. Constitution.

Most of you would do well to read it some day!

    Well done Chics!

    see 1st Ammendent!

  • i will always love the Dixie Chicks. We live in the LAND of THE FREE and that includes our speech. We have to remember that they was not the ones that sent us overthere in the first place. they was just say what some of the AMERICANS thought. im not a political person but i do believe in our rights.

  • @jessicastjames1 And what rights of what persons were infringed upon? The DC's? LOL. They said whatever they wanted every day. The DC's have no inalienable right to popularity or profit. They don't deserve special dispensation when it comes to the consequences of their comments. We have freedom of speech, not freedom from consequences. Pull your head out.

  • Where are the many covers of this song that should be made??? I can hear any number of artists doing this in different ways: Otis Redding, the Black Crowes, Sam Cooke, and most of all the True Love Baptist Church on Sunday morning.....

  • @MissEmilyKat Dont slam those haters, they vote, they are majority, under the great democracy, they own you. shut up and hide from them or face career destruction.

  • And, to those who diss Natalie's appearance, I say this: Put up or shut the fuck up. If you arrogate yourself the right to judge her, then why not post your own videos, showing how gorgeous YOU are??? C'mon, let's see what y'all look like.

  • What beautiful sentiments this song expresses; it reminds me a lot of John Lennon's "Imagine." It disturbed me how, in an Orwellian twist, those of us who decried war became the hated, while those beating the war drum were the beloved. How fucking WARPED can Americans be? If you didn't want our brave soldiers put in harm's warm, you "were unsupportive" of them, but if you were gung-ho to see their blood spilled, you were--utterly illogical. The Chicks are beautiful in every way.

  • @ArmaniExchangeFan so true. I remember Viet Nam, My brother came home, but he wasn't the brother who left. I never think war or hate is the answer; it leaves you in the same place as the people who want to start something. I love the Dixie Chicks and have for a long time. I think Toby Keith should stand a post or he should shut up. Go Chicks.

  • @MsChemicalEngineer Agreed on all counts. And it incenses me that there are certain high-profile personalities on TV and radio and in the political realm who are doing their level best to stir up hatred towards certain ethnic groups for political or monetary gain.

What we need is to pool the great minds of all peoples to confront the myriad problems facing our country and the world. And I'm already hearing the beat of the war drum coming from certain camps in regard to Iran.

  • Is she pregnent with twinns?

That is one ugly out fit

  • I remember being awakened by this song and having chills at how beautiful this song conveys the messages of love and peace...still get chills even now. I remember thinking "They have to be forgiven now"

  • she looks fat and ugly in this vid, check out, voice inside my head vid. she looks totally differnt, like a super model. Looks horrible here.

  • @SingJiya THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE FOCUSED ON?

  • @SingJiya okay, why would u care what she looks like? what is it to you. Why would you get on line and say something like that? maybe you should look at your self and then you will stop putting people down.

  • gotta love robert randolph jammin w/ the chicks.

  • @Therealmensa FU.

  • @5647854678245245 BTW, this video and song were withheld by the DC's from the Katrina Charity DVD. They used the live performance to advertise/launch their new album. Only when it became public that they refused to allow it on the DVD did they release it as a download single for the benefit of the charity. By then, the album sales had slacked anyway, so they gave little more than the live performance. Theirs was one of only two that didn't make the DVD. Greed pervades the DC behaviour.

  • @5647854678245245 I couldn't agree more!!!

  • i like this song

  • I almost regretted myself on entering this page when I read that mensa's comments.

but then the song played and I changed my mind.

  • dear fakemensa: if the chicks were indeed gone, you'd have no life. why don't you turn off your computer and go get one. your very existence in the world disturbs me. try as I might, I can't find a single worthwhile thing about you. You are a person completely without value, and I pity you.

  • retard

  • mensa, you must be one of these hopeless rednecks who think Bush was a genius for killing 300.000 people in Iraq... I feel sorry for you.

Unlike you and the likes of Bush/Cheyney and the other criminals in Bush's administration, the Dixie Chicks showed integrity when it was unpolular. My hat is off to them.

  • @jst1998 I couldn't have said it better. Long Live the Dixie Chicks and God Bles the USA.

  • @MsChemicalEngineer FUck the Dixie CHicks. THey'll never be what they were before they decided to bash others.

  • @Therealmensa you would probably like to but they have better taste!!

  • @Therealmensa R u kidding me??? "THE REAL MENSA" Really... love the fact that you realize your stupid.... no need for no one to tell you.... you know it.... the real stupid.... that is just brilliant.... papa Bush would be very proud.

  • @Therealmensa and you're not bashing others?...

  • @rreiter2 I am stating facts. If they end up bashing someone, then they deserve it. Much better than someone making a comment simply to gain favor and earn money..... like Natalie Maines did.

  • @Therealmensa You are selectively stating facts, to bash someone... duh. It has been years now, I hope you never lose your hate, you gonna need it.

  • @garytcw At least I am basing my opinion on facts, not that pathetic emotional drivel you call an opinion. Hope you keep that mental attitude. We'll always need people like you for the paper hat jobs.

  • Don't act like you know the DEAL! Go spread your hate somewhere elsewhere!

This song is AMAZING! Thanks to the chicks

  • Here, here, I agree, PEACE!

  • isn´t she a great singer? Nice, nice song...

  • oops, sorry I gave you thumbs down. Didn't mean to, wanted to give you thumbs up.

I agree, Natalie has a wonderful voice and this is a nice song.

  • wow looks like we have another scottish chicks fan i thought i was the only one edinburgh8

  • was this performance in 2005?

that's already so long ago, i thought it was from just recently O_o

  • I will never forget what happened in our country...how easily we hate...The Dixie Chicks exemplify everything that's right and wrong with us. I will always support the Dixie Chicks, I will always support our troops, and I will always hold my Nation that I love to a higher standard than what we have become.

  • @monicasuetannehill

I could not agree more with your comment - very well said !

  • I remember this....it was so happy to see them back again. I was so excited for the next album they were releasing in the coming year.

  • what year was this?

  • It took place in Sept. 2005

  • Keb’ Mo’ is a three time Grammy winner for Contemporary Blues Album and was Grammy nominated for Country Song of the Year for “I Hope” a co-write with the Dixie Chicks that appears on their latest album.

    Ray Knight on RayKnightification

  • I Love the song! They are awesome! Thanks for posting!!!!

  • I wish Obama would play this song.

    America's like a beat-up woman.

WHAT WE NEED IS HOPE! POSITIVE THINKING!
