  • STAAAAARMAAAAAAAN WAITINGINTHESKY HE TOLD US NOT TO BLOW IT 'CAUSE HE KNOWS ITSALLWORTHWHILE

  • What a great artist ,songwriter and performer! And also, what a great band!!!!

  • The question of in these days is which the people don't are more weird artistically.

  • Oh my Bowie...

  • Cover do nenhum de nós...

  • nice one bowie.. your sound as a pound like. cant believe i met you in morrisons what a guy!

  • David is will be and was but most of all you don't need to wonder.

  • @danelandorbust I wish David Bowie would get into me, if you know what I mean...

  • It is not as glam as the original version :-(

  • "and all the children got raped"

  • I watch Bowie videos with the sound off because I'm not even a fan of his music, I just like looking at him lmaoooo.

  • @SnotRockets55 thats really gay lmao

  • @SnotRockets55 Haha, I have seen that you wrote this also on a performance of "Heroes" too, didn't you?

But his music is great, maybe eventually you'll find something you like :-)

  • excelente!!!!

  • why is he wearing headphones?

  • @Madinkin it`s the monitor, so he can hear himself sing

  • @Madinkin

Actually, it's so he can hear the callers. Ear monitors are a lot smaller.

  • when was that preform?

  • I can't believe how much I like his music, a year ago I would have never dreamed of listening to this. ZIGGY FTW

  • i'm 13 and my dad told me about him now i will tell my children

  • i'm 35 and just started getting into bowie's music...he's a genius!

  • @DTommy12345 Go the classics albums like Space oddity, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And the Spiders From Mars, Aladdin Sane (all cover tunes), Diamond Dogs (one of his most underrated albums) and of course the Berlin Trilogy(look it up if your not familiar with this) PEACE AND HAPPY LISTENING

  • Space Oddity was the first song I ever learnt on guitar and It was by ear and took me 2 days to learn. It was him who got me fascinated in the music industry, he's the reason I became a musician. Along with Billy Joel and Pink Floyd. One of my life dreams are to meet david and the others. ^_^

  • I am I and I like David Bowie.

  • number one !

  • i would make sweet love to that gorgeous man.

  • I'm dead and I love it.

  • I'm not sperm yet and I love David Bowie.

  • Im 13 and I Love this song, And the work of David Bowie.

  • i am in INDIA preobaly very bowie listeners here :( :'(

  • I'm somewherw between 1 and 90 and I like Bowie

  • e' indubbiamente uno degli artisti piu' espressivi

  • 44 people blew it, despite how worthwhile it all is.

  • Why won't you age David Bowie?!?! It's not fair:)

  • Cooler with age!

  • sympa cette vidéo, tout droit venue des étoiles et de l'étoile

  • This guy is the epitome of "Cool".

  • Find the bass tone and playing quite annoying... but then again I was brought on ZS&tSFM, it's like a story in which it won't be the same with a single word changed.

  • Bowie-god

  • great artist!!

  • What a treasure, thanks for uploading this, one of the best choruses ever written!

  • David Bowie is a starman !

  • he lloks kinda cute with these headphones ^^

  • Prefiro a versão do nenhum de nós!

  • David Bowie is the only megastar I know who gets more and more awesome with age. He's like a vampire, ageless, beautiful and a timeless genius!!!

  • He's lost all his top end. And a long time ago I might add.

  • I like this version better than the original. Garson can be heard on piano in the background - not with Bowie until Aladdin Sane and Gail is the best bassist he has ever had. Drums are the best he has had also - OK Woody Woodmansey was pretty good....but, this drummer is outstanding.

  • @wpollock1 what about Trevor Bolder? He was damn good w/ Bowie.

  • @MrMAHBOI1 You are right. That band was very good - anyone on the Spiders were very good. I personally like the line-up on Station to Station or this line-up. A bit of the old (Garson, Slick) and a bit of the new. They do justice to the Spiders on this one.

  • @wpollock1 yeah, i'd have to say the worst backing band he had ever was on the Glass Spider Tour, no offense to him, but he butchered a lot of those songs on that tour.

  • Simply great! They should be singing this in every church every Sunday ... "There's a starman waiting in the sky He'd like to come and meet us But he thinks he'd blow our minds There's a starman waiting in the sky He's told us not to blow it Cause he knows it's all worthwhile He told me: Let the children lose it Let the children use it Let all the children boogie" Thank you Bowie!!!! We hear your message loud & clear here in Brasilia!
  • Gail Anne Dorsey is one helluva bass player ... very distinctive sound too. Can spot her a mile off :)x

  • He looks so happy.

  • WORD!

  • Is this Me'Shell on bass?

  • @brenoguarana That's Gail Ann Dorsey :)

  • a starman waiting in the sky....hear the lyrics.. a reality in Bowies words

  • People/parents teach your children well. Let them know the true artist of their favorite music. My son was smart enough to love and learn Bowie on his own.

  • David is really a private person. Due to his past he chooses privacy. He had friendship with John Lennon of the Beatles at time of John's death. Exposure of these artist made them vulnerable . Mr Bowie moved out of of crimes way. He was not a saint, but has resurrected himself to be the artist he is today/ Senior fans know this 2b true

  • So enjoyable to us 40 somethings . . . and the band are wonderful. Will watch this a few times tonight for sure.

  • @bigmagic96 I'm 16... so bowie is enjoyable to well all ages :)

  • @woahXgirl94 So much great music for you to discover yet from the 70s, i'm almost jealous! Good on you.

    Regards BM :)

  • @woahXgirl94 I'm 14 and agree :D

  • Thumbs up for this man.

  • @danelandorbust My exact thoughts when I really started discovering him last summer.

  • brilliant

  • 44 people never reached the stars.

  • @SwarmAo And I pity them..

  • I wish this it was a little clearer. Still, love him.

  • god

  • any 1 says this song r david bowie is shit they leying cos he is a legent and always willb

  • Sometimes I wish I'd never heard Bowie so I could hear it all for the first time again. A fan since 1973 and more so each following years. I've been lucky enough to see him live 3 times, Once on this tour....

  • Eeeeeee!!! I love Bowie <3<3<3

  • Just Awesome Bass Playing!!! Gail's style of playing is my fav.

  • some cat was layin' down some rock n' roll

    "lotta soul" he said.

    Lovin the lyrics

  • What is the year of this live ?

  • Bowiiiie!

  • What's with the distortion pedals? Why aren't they off during this song?

  • These tracks ain't big without Mick Ronson

  • @JVRWi I SECOND THAT! To me this particular song really suffer without that distinctive, muscular tone that Ronno had. You heard his guitar and you KNEW it was Mick. "Man Who Sold the World" is another song that isn't the same without Mick; really any from that period without Mick are missing something. Ronno left a huge impression, God bless him.

  • I miss Mick Ronson, I don't like what these new guitarists are doing with these old classics

  • David and Mick - two brothers (a different mother?) and thanks Dave, for getting those new choppers! this sounds polished but I miss Mick Ronson

  • David and Mick - two brothers (a different mother?) and thanks Dave, for getting those new choppers!

  • David and Mick - two brothers (a different mother?)

  • Is Very good..

    Starman man------ david bowie

    Astronauta de marmore------nenhum de nós

  • Absolutely brilliant.

  • 43 people have no ear for music AND no libido. Because if you have either one, you can't downvote this.

  • oh yes I agreee !!!!!!!! even now he is GREAT !

  • bowie has a great band cant tell live from studio thats hard to do

  • Absolutely brilliant ...What makes it even better is the fact that you know he is really enjoying it.

  • Thank you, David Bowie. Please, returns!!!

    Gracias por tu amistad Nuria.

  • band is fantastic!

  • Best Bowie Song for me

  • that is because , you girls never met me!

  • Watching David perform as the character Ziggy Stardust is Glam Rock at its best. Check it out.

  • @15275657 Every once in awhile, when David is playing the song, you can still see Ziggy, in tiny glimpses! You have probably noticed this , though. Your comments on Bowie are intelligent. Btw, in my opinion, The Spiders took glam to it's pinnacle!

  • Happy Birthday, David Bowie!!!

  • NOOOOOO! i missed his birthday thanks to concentrating on college work, ah well bought his reality tour the other day so was listening to it Saturday :) happy birthday LEGEND!

  • Happy birthday, Ziggy. <3

  • Happy birthday, dear David! Be always healthy and happy! You the best for ever!

  • @lucs, its funny that you should say that cause poe is my faverite writer and david my fave musician? strange...............................

  • no where near it yet; no where. And they are one of the world's best at the moment; which reflects that the golden era of contemporary music has passed. Maybe Coldplay are ahead of muse even. But to put Muse in the same category as Bowie doesn't resonate with me; but you may be right; in the end muse may become that but i strongly doubt it because there has to be a window open in the sky and the window is closed now.

  • sexy

  • I love this song so much and all the energy in this performance <3

  • David Bowie is to music what authors like Huxley and Edgar Allan Poe are to the

    world of literature.

Multi-creative, seeing things that other humans do not see.

  • damn straight !

  • @lisalucian Damn straight he isn't, lol

  • BOWIE ES DIOS

  • @69DavidBowie ¿Bowie? Yo sabia que Eric Clapton es Dios.... saludos y chido 2011

  • I don't know what it is about this song, but it just makes me so happy :D

  • Thumbs up if you didn't know what time it was, and the lights were low when you Leaned back on your radio-oh-oh!

  • Quel cherme.... grrrrr je fonds :)

  • I once said he's the coolest man ever, minus the bisexuality and cross-dressing. I've aged to the point where I can even reconsider those moot points.

  • the most original man in rock and roll....his music stands the test of time...

  • As having just recently discovered Bowie, I have to ask myself, why the hell has it taken me so long to get into him?!

  • @danelandorbust Welcome to the club :) I have to admit I asked myself this same question when I first got into his music.

But be glad you did. Some people go their whole lives without ever discovering his incredible music.

  • @danelandorbust Doesn't matter. The important is that you found him. For me it took 35 years to finally

admit there is no greater musician in history than Bowie. In fact to tell you some truth: he is not human.

So he may be gay, bisexual, ... This of no importance. David is like a witch, sorcerer,...

I know him since 1975 and to be honest: I never listened more to his songs than in 2010...

  • @lucs6060 I hear ya; he is the greatest something; probably not songwriter as i would put lennon in that position. But his performances is other-wordly. When Bowie, Waters, McCartney, Gilmour, Plant, Page, Bono, jagger, Knofler etc. go the magic will go too and music will decline and something else will became an expression of interest or we will keep listening to past music; because our poor kids get X factor; "people out there are turning music into gold."

  • @SuperBingo96

i think muse could step into those shoes to become new rock legends.

  • @danelandorbust You werent ready for the message. Bowie has a way of transforming the unaware into something else. After having had a close encounter I can see where he comes from. The Creator sends information through many channels, David is one.

  • @danelandorbust you don't get into david bowie, david bowie gets into you.....

  • @leiposuctie Like in soviet union.

  • @leiposuctie .... hmmm very good comment.

  • @leiposuctie to many dirty comebacks. I cannot pick...

  • @leiposuctie

    I wish.

  • @IceAngel262 same here.....

  • @leiposuctie and he's gotten into lots of people.

  • @danelandorbust me too!

  • @danelandorbust same here man... i never checked out his stuff until i started listening to john fruciante's solo stuff, and saw a biography where he adored bowie.

  • @danelandorbust An alternate angle: you are unmeasurably lucky to be alive in the internet era and...came across D. Bowie

  • Does anyone know if any of the original members are in this video/show?

  • @timothyjames21 No. The Spiders From Mars disbanded in 1973 after Bowie decided to end the Ziggy Stardust era. The lead guitarist (Mick Ronson) sadly passed away in 1992 (if I recall correctly) from cancer. The other members of the original group were Woody Woodsmansy and Trevor Bolder. Don't know what happened to them. But you can see them perform. Just call up Bowie 1973 here on YT

  • Ya I just downloaded this mp3 at soundnabber..com

  • Absolutely positivley fogging amazing!!!!!! Gawd Ive always LOVED this song!!!!!!! Such brilliance as Bowie is terribley hard to come by... Now we've got this goofy Bieber kid( and I'm a teen and saying this) he is far from a "sensation" he's sickening! GaGa is bringing it all back to how it should be, pure brilliance!
