  • Did you go to Korea? Did you learn more of the language? What experiences are you having in Korea? From the perspective of someone who is very different than you, you have very interesting things to talk about. You should make more videos. You could have a good following. Best!

  • I'm not sure many muslims would agree that they worship the same god as christians and jews... it may be that the concept is similar, but that is as far as one could go. The fact that 'allah' means god does not mean that it is the same god. Perhaps one could even say they are different interpretations of the same undeniable truth, but different be they still.

  • which languages do you speak fluently?

  • nice to meet you

  • I learned alot from this video. You have a nice smile by the way. I always knew muslims werent bad people even though sometimes they are portrayed as bad people in the media.

  • I recently found and subscribed to your channel and have been meaning to watch this video, and I'm glad I finally did! I found it very interesting that even though I was aware of all of the five misconceptions you covered, your humor and personality made them more than statements and had me laughing and seeing past the hijab, especially your whaaat? at 4:08 into the video. I actually watched that a couple of times.

Anyway Thanks for the video! Looking forward to more!

  • omg!!!! questio question question!!!!!! How was it in korea?!?!

  • omg~ you made me laugh SO MUCH esspecially about the camera-outside-thing cos i COMPLETELY AGREE!!! hahaha and pleaaase make more videos like about your life and the languages you learn and what youre going to do with your korean language~ <3

  • there's a misconception that hijabs are justified. at the time of the prophet m7ammad, the prophet himself, would have orgies with women, would have more than one wife, and loved sexuality and sex in general. after the death of the prophet, where islam fell apart, into two seperate sects and the sects into more seperate sects, this 'hijab' crap came to be. so yeah i just wanted to say that hijabs are not justified and women deserve to be free. coming from a lebanese man who has read the quran.

  • hahah omg ily <3 PREACH DA TRUTH SISTA! soo funny

  • Good stuff!

  • You are so adorable! Us non extremist Muslims need let our voice be heard like you. We need to show the real religion of Islam. I want to stop getting questions like "Do Muslims believe that non Muslim are infidesl and that you have to kill them?" WTH? Ummmm ya that's what i plan to do with non Muslims ahhh Anyway, good luck and hope the vids keep on comin :)

  • I'm glad that there are people out there like you that show ignorant people that they're wrong.

    Love from a non-Muslim American. :)

  • if u were a liberal muslim u`d show us ur beutifull hair,

good vid i agree with some of the stuff u say, was born n raised to b a muslim but am not really cause i dont agree with alot of stuff muslims do, like praying 5 times a day, that alone is extreme.

  • @teebrron I don´t pray 5 times a day either but that doesn´t mean i´m not muslim. Like its said everyone practices their own way and I believe being a good muslim is being a good person and helping the ones in need first than following the 'rules'.

  • agree , great video , MashaAllah ! :)

  • Nice!...... Hey, Do you speak spanish?

  • BTW...do you go to movies, listen to music, or watch tv? Doesn't all this fall under the category described by Islam as lahw?

  • @raultalbot7 I do all of those things :) and no matter how many hadiths you show me, I refuse to believe that putting a picture of someone, anyone, my dead grandmother means that I'm worshipping them. I'm sorry if you don't agree with my opinion, but it won't change.

  • I'm not disagreeing with your opion...I just find it interesting that some muslims follow Islam to the letter and some don't. I take it you 'pick and choose' which hadith you will follow?

I have a muslim acquaintance (he claims he can't be a 'friend') that I've known for over 30 years who is "hard core" muslim. His kids have never done any of those things you talk about doing. No tv, no music, no pictures, no movies, no socializing with non-muslim. He calls your type of muslim... 'munaafiq'.

  • I'm not picking and choosing anything. I just believe that anyone can come up with a quote and say it was said by the Prophet (PBUH) and turn it into a hadith. I'm gonna go by what's in the Quran. If a person's conscious and sub-conscious is so weak that listening to a song could change the way they think, then I feel bad for them. And like I said no Muslim can judge another Muslim for how they practice Islam. Why? Because what's their guarantee that THEY are practicing it the "right" way?

  • @hijabified ...

    So you follow no hadith?

If you follow the quran, then why do you have non-muslim friends? Doesn't the quran say "O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends, they are but friends of each other. And whoever befriends them, then surely, he is one of them. [5:51].

  • @raultalbot7 Hmm, you've got me there. I think that if a Jew or a Christian has done me no harm there's no reason for me to hate them.

  • @hijabified ...

I agree 100%...tis the reason I stay away from religions.

When one person suffers from a delusion...it is called insanity.

When many people suffer from a delusion...it is called religion.

  • @raultalbot7 LOL I wouldn't go so far as to call it delusion, I just believe that religion and it's rules should not overrule common sense and your own thinking. If religion says to kill anyone who doesn't agree with your ideas, a person needs to think long & hard about whether an action like that makes sense. But thank you very much for asking very intellectual questions :)

  • @raultalbot7 "(8) Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just."Almumtahina

The verse that you wrote was about the ppl who were againt Islam.

    check this answering-christianity(dot)com/friends.htm

  • @raultalbot7 i reallllly dont want to get into this argument, but i just want to say that i think that quote just means not to trust everyone as you would trust a friend. people say "trust no one" but that doesnt mean you should befriend no one :)

  • @raultalbot7 Why do you hate? Why do you want us to be enemies? I hateit when those of other faiths who nothing of our religion think they know more than those who are born into that religion. You don't know more than we know! But I know more than you! I can tell you the fact that we aren't allowed to befriend any jews or christians is completely wrong as one of imam ali's riend was in fact a christian called john. SO please I don't know who tranlated it in such way but it's wrong! cotinued!

  • @raultalbot7 And if you haven't realised the quran is mostly metaphoric so even if you find another quote that seems quite weird than think before you jump to conclusions. Anyway I have non muslim friends and infact my best friend is christian and I love her so much that I would even be willing to give up my life for her so that quote of yours either was made up or has a metaphoric meaning to it (check the story before that quote it probably is directed to a specific group of non muslims)

  • @hijabified I agree with you :)

god leads us to the righteous path

  • You're not a praticing muslim? Reason I ask is the picture you have hanging on the wall...isn't that forbidden Tasweer (hero worship)?

  • @raultalbot7 lol I am a practicing Muslim. It's a cardboard cutout from an event at my workplace and I do not believe for one moment that having a picture on your wall is considered worship. Putting a picture up of my family doesn't mean I worship them and the same goes for any other pictures. It all depends on a person's intention for the picture.

  • @hijabified ...

    Hadith -Bukhari 4:47

....I said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is wrong?" He said, "What is this pillow?" I said, "I have prepared this pillow for you, so that you may recline on it." He said, "Don't you know that angels do not enter a house wherein there are pictures; and whoever makes a picture will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked to give life to what he has created?"

  • The abhorrence of Islam for pictures of living things is so great that even entry into houses wherein pictures are displayed is not permissible. The Angels of Mercy do not enter such houses. The Holy Messenger sallallahu alaihe wasallam said, "The Angels (of Mercy) do not enter homes wherein there is a dog or picture."

  • @raultalbot7 the (Tasweer:which means sculpting) was meant for making statues(because they were made for worshiping or greatness) statues of living things is forbidden but u can make a part of the body not the whole thing. As for pictures, taking photos wasnt available at that time so there's no way that the tasweer meant for pics and pics in classic arabic is photographs and they can be called sowar photographiyah while sculptures are called tsaweer and the verb tasweer, some ppl got it mixed up

  • @rocknrose99 ...

Thanks for the information. Tasweer also means "picture-making" or "illustration". Fatawa Islamiyyah, 4/355

Seems to me there needs to be a new English version of the quran printed. All the disagreeable stuff in the quran has the wrong interpretation. What the quran says is not what it means. Consensus is that pictures of animate beings are haram, whether they are humans or other creatures, whether they are printed, drawn, etched, engraved, carved, cast in moulds, etc.

  • @raultalbot7 but u get the logic behind the tahreem ,,there was a tribe who made statues of their great leaders and then some years after they worshiped these statues(they were called 'Aad in the quran),just like those who ask forgiveness from the tombs ,If there was a haram pic then I would think maybe the pics of idols or celebrities that some ppl obsess about(almost like worshiping) ,I think any rightful Muslim mind would understand what the hadith means..god knows best

  • @rocknrose99....

Oh my, I like that..."any rightful muslim mind would understand".

I'm guessing there are a lot of "wrongful muslim minds" who don't understand.

In the book Al-I'laam bi naqd kittab al-halaal wa'l-haram, the author says: "Photography is even more of an imitation of the creation of Allah than pictures which are engraved or drawn, so it is even more deserving of being prohibited… There is nothing that could exclude photography from the general meaning of the reports."

  • ...

I find the whole business of religion profoundly interesting. But it does mystify me that otherwise intelligent people take it seriously.

  • @raultalbot7 well of course there are,we are human after all, I didn't read that book all I know is that I have been raised with faith and virtues and I know that the Quran is the essence of Islam, you should google the major sins of Islam (If u want to have a clear idea about sins in Islam) and visit this site to understand the halal and haram >>islamforpeace(dot)org/fiqh.html

and one more thing to note when reading about Islam, don't read anything about the lineage of the prophet (false)
